Because the manufacturer of the Tory Birch frames, which is Luxottica, makes their frames in Italy and China, depending on the material used and which factory it was made in. It is still authentic Tory Birch, but the frames in brick and mortar stores carry the higher priced and made in Italy only version to sell in person, not online.
