I’ll give 5 stars since my second box was fresher than first. I only gave it a second try because I was able to salvage them but putting in microwave for about 15 seconds and then these were the bomb and even though second box is fresher I still microwave them. I love that they have 20 grams of protein. Just be forewarned, like anything packed with protein you need to watch for digestive issues otherwise they will help keep you satiated and your weight down if that is what you’re trying to do. If you are older, you need to remember to eat more protein since that is super important as we age.

great nutritious snack. No high protein or any chemical after tastes. The texture is dry but the taste good!

This PB crunch bar is supposed to be soft and tasty. Unfortunately they are stale and hard (not expired) as other bars are from Amazon. There must be an issue with quality control.I’ll pay shipping and order directly from NuGo.

We have been getting these for years on auto ship but recently cancelled because almost every shipment we have gotten in the last 4 months, the bars have been rock hard and stale. Maybe 2-3 per box have been edible per box. This is so disappointing because when they are fresh, they are a good source of protein.

I love the Nugo original bars and I’m so happy they make a lower sugar/higher protein version very similar. They arrived very fresh and the texture is crispy and chewy at the same time! Great chocolate peanut buttery deliciousness!!

I have been purchasing these protein bars for a couple fo years now and they are my absolute go to! Low calorie, high protein, and delicious! For some reason, in my most recent box, half of the bars were super hard, not the normal chewy soft texture. So hard, like my teeth felt like they would crack! Anyone else experienced the same problem? Hopefully, it is just a bad batch.

I have ordered these bars for a few years. They definitely have kept me on my low carb diet my Dr. has me on. Between working out at the gym at least 3 times a week, I also ate these HIGH PROTEIN BARS for breakfast everyday, and for a snack or lunch, especially if I wanted something small, quick and easy, for on the go. They are also great , if you have a sweet tooth!No, they don’t taste like candy, but they are sweet and satisfy your sweet craving!Of all of the high protein bars I have tried, these are the BEST tasting, and ZERO SUGAR!!I have looked at the labels on other protein bars, and some of them have a lot of sugar!! Read the labels!They gave me energy, satisfied my hunger, and helped me lose 55 lbs!! I’m down to only 135 lbs, and I’m 5’ 7 1/2” .I was ordering them all if the time, until the price kept going up and up!!With the economy the way it is now, I had to stop buying these. I sure wish they’d have a good sale price on them, so I could stock up !!

Started buying these a few months back as a carb saver, and more affordable alternative to Quest protein bars. The first couple boxes I got, the bars were soft, chewy, and tasted great. Over the last 2 to 3 months it has been harder to get bars that are soft at all. The bars are so hard now that I break them in the package with my fingers before I open them. (I can actually hear them snap.) Then I let them dissolve in my mouth because chewing them hurts my teeth. I wondered at first if it was just me, then started reading recent reviews and realized this is becoming a common problem. I plan to cancel my two boxes per month subscription and find an alternative, or look to get these elsewhere.These bars are great and I would highly recommend them, if you can get them when they're not stale.
