Great for festivals
I bought these for a concert as I’ve got the motorbike alpines and find them to be comfy and great! These were great they didn’t take away from the music but helped me to have minimal ear ringing at a trance festival, even with being straight in front of the speakers (so close it made our hair feel like we were in a fan!)Great quality and fit really well. Case is great to pop them in your pocket and fit really nicely

Works as well if not better than Loops and £20 cheaper
I had been using my Loop brand earplugs for about a year and at £30 they aren't cheap. I had to buy these Alpine branded things in an emergency travelling away.- they are more comfortable - i have relatively smaller ear canals (always having to use the small size rubber on your typical stereo ear buds) and these were such a perfect fit with the tapered conical design. In hindisght these make a lot more sense than a bud design so you don't have to squeeze in a rounded single size into your ear canal gap.- they did an immense job of drowning out loud club music whilst still being able to hear my friends talk easily enough. I have very sensitive hearing to background noise and these plugs cut away all of it whilst still letting in enough higher frequency sound.- given that i paid £11.56 these were worth every penny.

Good earplugs, let down by accessories and pricing
The actual earplugs themselves are comfortable and do a good job at reducing volume without totally muffling whatever you're listening to. They preserve the highs a lot better than other earplugs I have tried, and they don't let in too much bass, i.e. they do sound relatively flat (compared to other brands). If you want better than this you're going to have to go for a pricey custom fit pair. They are let down by the accessories and so lose a star. The case is soft, combined with the clip it is bulky, the zip feels like it might open in your pocket and the earplugs may go missing. I wouldn't bother with the 'cord'. It's a cheap thin string with cheap plastic clips. The cleaning spray is pointless, the instructions tell you to wash with soap and water before using the spray, and this does a good job of cleaning them so I'm not sure what the point of the spray is, other than a waste of plastic and money.I would recommend based on the performance of the earplugs alone if you value a flatter requency response, but alpine could produce a much more appealing offering by simply selling the earplugs + an aluminium carrying tube for slightly less money (they do this for their other products, why not this one?). The current pricing is a bit steep for what you get.

Great for music events and at a good price
I purchased these last year and have used them at three gigs since.- I had very minor ringing in my ears after one event, but the event was for a couple of hours and I was relatively close to the speakers, so I can't complain.- For the other two events, I experienced no reduced hearing or ringing in my ears.- I could clearly hear the bands each time. The ear plugs did a great job of filtering out background noise and excess bass. The additional clarity was good enough that I could hear people talking to me over the music, rather than having to shout in each others ears. There will be better alternatives on the market, but at this price point you'll be hard pressed to find them.£11.95 for the sake of your hearing is a steal. Do not risk your hearing for the sake of a few gigs.

Mid range, decent
In terms of "is this the best ear protection i could buy?": Definitely worse, definitely better.Comfortable, good noise protection. Definitely compromises the sound quality in comparison with Loop. Not the worst. Maybe shop around if you're purchasing ear protection for gigs. If you're ADHD and need silence for focus then these are quite good.

Good Ear plugs. Work Well.
I bought these ear plugs for my daughter, who plays keyboards in a band next to the drummer. They are just what she needed: They basically turn down the volume, without muffling it, so she can still hear things, but not to the point where the sound is potentially damaging her ears. The earplugs are bendy, which makes them easy to fit into and out of the ear. They are also comfortable to wear and small enough to not really be that noticeable. It's also good that they come in a little case. The case is approximately 5cm long and around 2.5cm wide, and could be fitted onto a keyring. It is much easier to find the case in a bag or pocket rather than having loose earplugs! It also keeps them clean. So all in all, I am very happy with these earplugs and would highly recommend them.

Great job of "taking the edge" of the sound, without ruining the experience.
As a motorcyclist and someone who has worked in a noisy work environment, I have a lot of experience of wearing ear plugs. These are different to the industrial/motorcycle plugs I used, in that they don't leave your ears feeling blocked. They are also far more comfortable.By design they allow some sound through and I am able to enjoy music at gigs. They do a fantastic job of "taking the edge off" the sound so that it is still loud and clear, but not at a level that will damage your hearing. My Apple Watch will be screaming warnings at me about the volume, but I am perfectly comfortable and leave the venue without that ear ringing effect or fatigue I used to get.If I were right next to the speakers or working in a venue and exposed to that level of volume on a regular basis I'd probably go for something that blocks more sound, but this is ideal for the person who sits/stands/dances at a normal distance from the speakers and attends gigs occasionally.

Worked well at a metal concert
Worked well, could hear clearly and experienced no ringing in my ears after like I would without plugs. Discreet looking too and nobody seemed to notice I was wearing them.Pleased to protect my hearing as I get a bit older, but still enjoy my music
