Beautiful edition – perfect gift for horror fans
I bought this Tomie Complete Deluxe Edition by Junji Ito as a gift for my husband, and it was very much appreciated! The hardcover is beautifully designed, and the full collection in one volume makes it a fantastic keepsake for any fan of horror manga.Highly recommended if you're looking for a striking and memorable gift.

Horrible and extremely disturbing body-horror/existential dread manga
It starts out just creepy - maybe the first ½ of the story is these stinking fish crawling on to land on insect-like legs. And then the second ½ just turns horrendous, two fairly silly seeming premises (at first) taken to an extreme body horror conclusion that's genuinely disturbing. It feels unfinished, and burns out a little at the end, like it's missing a third act.Still, would recommend to horror fans. This also includes one of Ito's most striking one-off stories: the Enigma of Amigara Fault

Classic Junji Ito, beautiful hardback
Classic Junji Ito horror, unlocking new fears I never knew I had. I really enjoyed this story, which was intriguing and creepy, it had some disturbing imagery, which is expected. The end did feel a bit rushed, it seemed like there was more to the story that never came. There is also an added short story at the end which is fantastic. Definitely recommend

Excellent Junji Ito book, just wish mine wasn't damaged.
It's a much shorter book than Uzumaki or Tomie and the two bonus short stories aren't connected to the main overarching story like the bonus story from Uzumaki, not that they aren't interesting of course. Only complaint was my copy of the book had four damaged pages, which I didn't notice until I read it, after the return date.

A miserable book, but I coudn't put it down
This was my fifth book that I've read from Junji Ito, and I'am still left speachless by how disturbing, gruesome and horrific this was. I made a big mistake of reading the book 30 min before going to sleep because my dreams were, in a simple word, crazy. Now, I wonder how does he come up with such stories, especially this, because every time I look at my bookshelf and I see this book, shivers go done my spine, and I get flashbacks of the story as if I've read it just now. The images were graphic, no matter that it was just a drawing, and there were may times I had to put the book down and take a few minutes to think of something else, or read a page of a wholesome book like "Little Women".
