Ideal for helping little ones practise their motor skill development
This is a pack of 4 sturdy plastic scoops for little ones to practise their motor skills with.Ideal for use with sand or water, or in tuff trays with other sensory materials like rice, these scoops are just the right size for little hands and the bright colours make them appealing to play with. With the different shapes and some cut-out patterns, young children can practise scooping, pouring, sifting, stamping and funnelling, helping with motor skill development.Ideal for use with early years children at school, or pre-schoolers at home.

Sturdy but small
This is a set of 4 sand/water toys which are made of bright/bold coloured sturdy plastic. One is a small funnel, it's a different shape to most sand/water funnels in that it is triangular shaped in the top and bottom, it's a very small funnel about the size of my palm. The next is a small sieve with fairly big sized holes, this has pour spouts on each side. The third is a small shovel, about the width of three fingers, it's really small for a scoop. The last is an interesting tool I haven't seen before. It's a rectagular scoop with a hand sized handle with 4 bumps to make it easy and comfortable to hold. These are very robust tools which are marketed as 3+. I work with 4-5 year olds but these are really more suited for 3yr olds in my opinion rather than slightly older children. For 3 year olds I'd say these are ideal.

Great resources for scooping and pouring
As a Nursery Practitioner, I am always excited to be offered for review any toys and resources which I can share with the children in my playroom. This set of sensory scoops were just perfect for adding to our sand and water play trays. Brightly coloured and made of plastic, these are easy to clean and work well inside as well as outdoors. This set offers a good range of scooping and pouring experience, with a triangle shaped funnel, a claw scoop, a sieved spoon and a shovel scoop. These are great for encouraging scooping and pouring skills, and supporting trajectory play schemas. I took these in to my playroom where the children are aged 2 - 3 and they were very popular - children love to explore the process of pouring and scattering sand and water, and these tools offered a great experience to explore. They are tough and sturdy and withstood being handled and shared among several children over the course of our week. Really lovely, well designed resources which develop motor skills and ideas around capacity. Very good value at £10 for the set of 4 - I am already looking at their accompanying sensory set for fine motor skills too!
