All the clean, and the fragrance gives you nothing to fear
This review is for the Rose flavor in particular - it is much more of a subtle green plant scent with a hint of natural rose, so don't fear it if you are a manly man. This is rose soap - not rose perfume, and there's a big difference between the two. We've been using it mixed with baking soda for all our laundry ever since converting to a grey water drainage system on our washing machine. That we'd use a Dr. Bronner's soap for our laundry was never in question - we only had to decide which one. Peppermint is great in the shower on the ole human form, but weird on the clothes. Tea Tree Oil is what we use to wash the dogs and anything that has a hint of mold or mildew, but it left everyday laundry smelling a bit too medicinal. Finally, and to our surprise, Dr. Bronner's Rose was the answer. Like I say, more of a natural plant aroma. There's more green rose leaves and stems than anything - and it fades into nothing but a faintly pleasant clean scent on the clothes once they're dry. It does NOT fade the clothes tho - pampers all our cottons & linen & denims and even polar fleece and spandex - no fading, no stretching, no signs of chemical damages. And clean? Well heck yeah, what do you expect? It's Dr. Bronners!

Pleasant Scent, Gets You Clean without Drying
Dr. Bronner's Rose Castile Soap is really great stuff - while we haven't used it on our laundry for house cleaning purposes, we have used it for all sorts of personal care cleaning purposes, including to use to wash our hair, faces, and bodies. I'm not a huge fan of using this soap as a shampoo, as it's difficult to find a good conditioner to match it's rosy scent, however, it's really nice to use as a face and body wash. As a shampoo, it tends to dry out my hair a little too much, also. As a face and body wash, I haven't noticed any effects of drying out my skin, and the scent is not strong enough to overpower, but strong enough so that when I get out of the shower that I am lightly rose scented. The scent is not chemically or super girly smelling - my husband even likes using this soap! Highly recommended.

Terrific Soap
I bought this soap to use only on my beard. After buying the original Dr. Bronner's Original/Peppermint Pure Castile Soap (32 oz) at Trader Joe's for only $9.99 (now sells there for $11.99), I liked it enough to want to try one of the additional scents if the price was right. So, I purchased the Rose scent. The Peppermint has a sort of kick you in the face and get you ready for the day scent while the Rose scent is a bit more subtle and relaxing. I like both but if I could only choose only one, I would choose the Rose Scent with the lower cost of the Original at Trader Joe's ;). I usually buy the Original (at TJ's) just because I can never find any Dr. Bronner's cheaper on Amazon. One note I would make is that before buying the Original/Peppermint, I was concerned that it would have a menthol type feel to it like a men's aftershave, but this wasn't the case at all. Both scents smell great to me and the brand deserves all the praise that it receives.

The side of the bottle is cracked.
I really wanted to try this. I heard good things unfortunately when it arrived. The side of the bottle is cracked and the product leaked out.

Does not smell like roses. It smells like beer to me.
I normally use the Dr. Bronner Mint, but thought I'd switch things up and get the rose scent. I thought I knew what roses smell like, right? This doesn't smell like roses at all. I have a pretty good sense of smell too. I don't detect roses. It smells like beer to me. If you've tried a Blue Moon or citrus beer, that's kinda what it smells like. I still gave it four stars anyway because the scent is not bad, and the soap is great. I feel so clean afterwards and my skin doesn't feel dry.

A classic liquid castille soap by the forremost maker in liquid soaps.
Love, love, love it. New to Dr. Bronner's, I purchased as a recommendation from a friend who is very much into natural/organic lifestyle decisions. Love the fact that it is very lightly scented with real rose oil; thrilled that it is all natural and mostly organic in composition. Proud that my decision to purchase aids in fair trade practices and policies for the people in the fields and trenches producing Dr. Bronner's products. Presently using it in my foaming soap dispensers at my sink. Use one part distilled water to 4-5 parts liquid soap. Add one Tablespoon fractionated coconut oil for moisturizing and natural lipid restoration. Even the gentlest and mildest of soaps may have a drying effect on very delicate skin. Pump and wash, then smile!

Good product!
I love the Dr. Bronner's soaps. I have sensitive skin and get very dry skin during winter and have been on a search for a good soap. This soap lathers up and rinses clean with no residue. Dry itchy skin went away and we are using much less water too! The rose scent is very light and fades away as well as the lavendar which has a stronger smell to it but it also fades away. I have been using the tea tree oil bar soap on my face which is also helping with breakouts. The other side benefit is... it seems that the bathtub is not getting as much soap scum and is easier to keep clean. It's a win win... Less water, better results and a cleaner tub. I have been recommending these products to family and friends!

A Product That Exceeds Expectations
Interesting product. Great scent. Provides a great, sudsy shower experience. The Rose scent is new to me and quite pleasing. However, the most interesting part about Dr. Bronner's, in my opinion, is how it works as a shampoo. It leaves the scalp tingly and clean. But, the best of all is dandruff control. Not to get to personal on this, but I've tried a lot of the stuff on the market... they're often harsh and have a chemical smell. I didn't get good results from them. But, with the Doctor the experience is refreshing and the results are, shall we say, exceptional. Black turtlenecks are no longer an issue.
