Flawless Wireless CarPlay with 2021 Chevy Silverado / iPhone 12 & iPhone 14 ProMax
I love CarPlay but have worn out the lightning jack on my previous phones by the constant plugging and unplugging, not to mention likely negatively impacting battery health by the phones constantly being charged at the top half of the battery capacity while always being charged while connected to the car.I have waffled on buying a wireless adapter for a year now due to spotty reviews of the other models. Glad I pulled the trigger on this model after some research and working through the feedback. As title suggests; it works flawlessly with my 2021 Silverado with both iPhone 12 and iPhone 14 ProMax and would recommend this 100%. Does exactly what it says it does and does it reliably with no intervention on my part.Pros:-Very compact (see my photo)-USB C connector but adapter included for USB A-Set it up once and it just works - it was easy if you just follow the instructions.-It connects reliably every time. Even with the phone in a laptop bag in the back seat or in my back pocket. Only issue was when I had turned off bluetooth on my phone.-Quick startup - brief splash screen while connecting to Bluetooth but didnt take noticeably longer than the delay on the wired setup.-It is the real/exact Apple Carplay interface that shows when wired. Not some knock off GUI or replicated app.-No lag / stalling / failure to open on button pushes as others have reported on other units. Mine switches screens and opens apps just as fast as when it was wired.-All the functionality of wired CarPlay and still integrated seamlessly with OEM controls that also work through the radio. Steering wheel controls, OEM entertainment controls / backup camera able to be brought up and then switch right back to Carplay screen, etc...Constructive-The base connection is a rather short USB C cable around 3". While I would imagine many cars have the USB ports in a place the adapter can lay flat, mine hung from the cable and was worried about fatiguing the connector, damaging the wire, or bumping it all the time and and damaging the jack. Good news is a short USB C extension with a right angle connector worked like a charm. Connector and adapter box lays in the console tray tucked away pretty well with no movement.I know alot of these all depend on the OEM support for Carplay along with the version of the phone...but works great with my phone / truck combos.

One of the best purchases I have ever ordered
So here it is 2023 and my lease on my car is up. To get the new (2023) version, it would cost me $250+ more per month for the same car. Thank you Covid-19! i sat down and really thought it through and after going over all the new features that were important to me, I realized that really the only feature that the 2023 had over the 2020 model is the wireless carplay. To say I was disappointed to not get that is an understatement until a friend told me just to order an attachment to make my wired carplay wireless. I didn't even know that was a possibility or I would have done it 3 years ago. I ordered this product and it works like a dream. It just plugs in as my phone did into a USB port (or C port depending on your car - fyi, it comes with both attachments) and it works. Couldn't have been any easier. I am beyond thrilled and decided to go ahead and purchase my leased car rather than leasing again. I'm very happy with this product.

Wireless CarPlay Adapter - Give It a Second Chance
Update: 9/3/23I'm revisiting my earlier review of the "Wireless CarPlay - Wired CarPlay Convert Cars Wireless CarPlay, Wireless CarPlay Adapter, Apple CarPlay Wireless Adapter, Wireless Fast and Easy Use Fit for Cars from 2016 & iPhone iOS 10+ (Black)" to set the record straight. In my initial review, I vented my frustrations with this adapter, but it turns out there's more to the story.Initial Experience:In my first assessment, I was highly critical, and I apologize for that. My frustration stemmed from frequent disconnects and a generally cumbersome setup. However, after some further investigation, I discovered that the main issue wasn't the adapter itself but rather my iPhone's setup. What Changed:I decided to take a drastic step and format my iPhone, starting from scratch. I reinstalled all my apps and established a clean connection with the Wireless CarPlay Adapter. To my surprise, this made a significant difference. The disconnects became infrequent, and the adapter started working as advertised. It seems that user error played a substantial role in my initial negative experience.Passing It On:In the spirit of fairness, I passed the adapter to my dad, who now uses it regularly without any significant issues. It has greatly enhanced his daily commute, underscoring the fact that when set up correctly and used in the right conditions, this product can be reliable.Updated Rating and Recommendation:Given this new perspective, I'd like to adjust my rating and recommendation. I initially gave it zero stars, but now I rate it three out of five stars. It's not perfect, and the setup can be tricky, but with patience and a clean iPhone slate, it can provide a decent CarPlay experience.Final Thoughts:In conclusion, my earlier review was hasty, and I'm sorry for any confusion it may have caused. Technology can be finicky, and sometimes the solution lies in our own hands. If you're willing to invest time in the initial setup and ensure your iPhone is properly configured, the Wireless CarPlay Adapter might just surprise you with its performance.Remember, don't dismiss a product outright – give it a second chance. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope this updated review helps you make a more informed decision.Old Review:Oh, where do I even begin with this Wireless CarPlay disaster? It's like buying a ticket to frustration town with no return trip! 🙄Let me tell you, this so-called "Wireless CarPlay - Wired CarPlay Convert Cars Wireless CarPlay, Wireless CarPlay Adapter, Apple CarPlay Wireless Adapter, Wireless Fast and Easy Use Fit for Cars from 2016 & iPhone iOS 10+ (Black)" is a hot mess on wheels! 🚗💥First things first, wireless? Ha! More like "Waste-Your-Time-Less" CarPlay. It disconnects more often than a teenager avoiding their chores! Seriously, it's like it's allergic to actually staying connected to my iPhone. The number of times I've had to re-establish the connection while driving, it's a miracle I haven't thrown the thing out the window! And let's not even get started on how "fast and easy" this thing claims to be. It's easier to herd a group of cats wearing tap shoes than to make this wireless CarPlay adapter work as advertised! It's like trying to solve a Rubik's Cube with mittens on! 😡I don't know what sorcery they used to manufacture this monstrosity, but it seems like getting a wireless CarPlay product to function is about as likely as finding a unicorn riding a unicycle! It's 2023, for crying out loud! Why is it so hard for companies to make a reliable wireless CarPlay adapter?I mean, I tried to be optimistic about it, but it was like expecting sunshine and getting a thunderstorm instead. Come on, people, can't we have nice things that actually work? 🙄In conclusion, this wireless CarPlay adapter is a comedic tragedy. It's like the punchline to a terrible joke that you can't escape from. Save your sanity and avoid this nightmare on wheels! I'd rather communicate with carrier pigeons than deal with this frustrating piece of tech again. Zero out of five stars, do not recommend. 🚫⭐️
