Worked as it should
I purchased this to replace the original oil pressure sensor on my 1985 (yes, '85) Thundercraft MR140. The gauge checked out ok so either I had no oil pressure or the original sender was faulty. I ordered this unit partly due to price but also because it was available quickly while others had long delivery times (probably from offshore). Simply put, this sender works fine. I'm not sure if it's perfectly accurate - it seems to read a bit high but maybe the old one was reading low for some time (and given it's age, that's quite possible!). For this old boat, I don't need high accuracy - as long as I know I have decent oil pressure, that's good for me.

Tested fine, then failed within 1 hour of use.
Tested this gauge before installation on my newly rebuilt Perkins diesel. It worked fine and readings were quite close to the old sender (which was leaking but still worked). After one hour of running time, the gauge started reading very erratically at any RPM less than 2000, swinging wildly. I first confirmed that oil pressure was good with a mechanical gauge (it was), and then put the old leaky sender back in, and it reads fine also (50-60psi). Beyond the 30 day return so I am stuck with it.
