Very Nice Handrail
Very nice handrail. Easy installation. Wood rail is very nicely finished and all clear wood. Solid hardware kit. If I had a use for more of these I would not hesitate to purchase again. Top quality and highly recommend.

Not "Pine" color, brackets have some flex
The description said "pine" but it came with a "burlywood" finish, a little darker than I wanted. I put the 2' rail up in our bathroom as a horizontal grab bar anyway, but was disappointed in the brackets, which flex a bit when weight is put on them. I had also ordered a 3' and 6' bar for stair railings, but returned them. The quality of the wood and the finish was fine, and if you don't need to support much weight, they'd be satisfactory. The included hardware is for drywall installation - I'm not a builder but I'd be surprised if drywall alone could support a railing. For our grab bar, we made sure to hit a stud with one of the three holes in each bracket, and used a longer screw.
