I ordered this Alpha Lipoic Acid Supplement to try it out for its Effects on Vascular Health and Neuropathy. Unfortunately, as soon as I took two Capsules, I felt an Irritation, Burning and Tightening in my Throat and Esophagus, which was a bit concerning because it lasted a While. I stopped taking this Supplement and did more reading on these Side Effects. Apparently, these Side Effects are to be expected with Oral Administration of Alpha Lipoic Acid, which is why People substitute it with the Trometamol Salt of Alpha Lipoic Acid to reduce the Irritation and Burning in the Throat and Esophagus. From what this Supplement says: It contains 600mg per 2 Capsules. I’m curious though, why I would even feel the Acid if its encapsulated. Overall, this Product appears to be a good Value, offering four Months’ Worth of Supply filled with good Ingredients. But I’d rather not feel the constant Burning and Irritation in my Throat and Esophagus. Maybe they can make the Capsules thicker or something until they reach the Stomach.
