honestly this little gadget works wonders! it's perfect for FaceTime, recording videos, virtual meetings, mounting your phone to watch something, etc.it's exactly as described and the magnet is pretty strong.i highly recommend if you're into MagSafe accessories and/or a heavy mac user who hates the HD camera. you really will get a good use out of your phone's camera and using the continuity camera on Mac.

Belkin always makes solid products. This is no exception to that. This mount is extremely high quality and feels very good. The biggest issue here is too many user variables. Meaning?When you are using this on an iPhone without a case on it, it’s a dream. Solid and firm magnetic grip with no mobility issues.When you are using this on an iPhone with a case on it, it’s not so great. Depending on the thickness or texture of the case you are using - you will run into issues with the magnet holding strong during daily use.The reason I stated this is great for desk use only is because I leave this on my desk and only use it when I’m hopping on a call for work. I do not carry it around on my phone outside of that scenario mainly due to the magnet strength issue while my phone is inside of a case.Highly recommend this though for the main reason it should be used - mounting for video calls.

This is a really cool device. The magnet works really well attached to the back of my phone. The hole in the middle also provides a place to run your finger through if you want to use it like a Pop It. It can also be used as a kickstand. The device is not clunky or junky, it's very smooth in feel and operation. I ordered it to record myself riding my horse so I can learn from the videos. I mounted my iPhone 15 to this device and use it to record in cinematic mode. Cinematic mode helps to keep my horse and I in full focus while blurring out the background. It works really well.

This mount attaches securely to the back of your Mag Safe compatible iPhone. The magnet provides a solid attachment to the phone, however, if you are using a camera case, depending on its design, the strength of the magnetic adhesion may be reduced. The ring hinges out and provides a secure ring-grip (put your finger through the ring) for holding the phone, or use the metal ring in the extended position (as a kick-stand) to prop the phone up on a table (on newer phones it will activate the Stand Mode while plugged into a charger). The mount also has a rubberized hook (beside the hinge for the kick-stand) that you can pull out to allow you to mount your camera on your laptop screen, so you can use iPhone's Continuity Camera feature as your laptop's webcam, using your phone's rear-facing camera. I have found that this provides a better-quality webcam than the built-in camera on my laptop.

The product itself works as intended and has had no actual manufacturing flaws or quality issues so I am giving this five stars... but... I have to say that this simply did not meet my needs in the long run and I went with a laptop monitor camera mount, that uses an adhesive base plate, after a few weeks of use... but as I stated, that is not the products fault, I simply did not consider the constant taking it off and putting it back on that would take place. The only piece of advice I would offer to potential buyers is this, the item has to be removed if you intend to use other MagSafe mounting solutions. Seems obvious right? The problem I ran into is that I had purchased this for use with my work laptop and whenever I had to remove this holder, I would stuff it in my backpack, or my work desk, or I would leave it in my hotel room. Any one of various places... that would not be where i needed it to be when it came time to use it. I would take it off of my phone and set it on my desk when I was finished, and then later on I would be at a different location... where I needed this thing and I wouldn't have it because I left it behind. That has nothing to do with the product itself so I am not blaming Belkin, I am simply sharing my experience. If you are more organized than i am and have better luck at keeping track of things or keeping them in the right place for later use, this will likely not affect you in the same way. Otherwise, great product!
