Good for front-heavy setups
well made and fits perfectly to the RS2 sliding plate (and also to the Smallrig extra-long sliding plate). Quick and easy to attach and multiple screw points on the sides and underneath. A good, cost-effective solution.

Works great on my Weebill 3
I was properly struggling to balance my Canon R6 with a heavy (950 gram) 16-28mm f2.8 lens on my Weebill 3. This counterweight perfectly did the job. Great build quality.

Good Quality Set
This Gimbal Counterweights and Clamp Kit arrives in a very small, Neewer branded box. In the box, inside a bubble wrap envelope, is the clamp with the two counterweights attached. The clamp is 7.3cm wide (including tightening knob) by 2.6cm deep, and weighs in at 48g. Made of aluminium alloy, it is machined well and has a good finish throughout. The clamp mechanism works well without any issues, and opens the jaws from 4.5mm to 5.1cm.There are five 1/4”-20 sockets in the bottom of the clamp, as well as on both the long edges, making 15 mounting points in total. The counterweights are very well made and have a good finish throughout. In order to attach the weights to the clamp, directly to your gimbal, or to stack them with other weights, they have a ¼-20” socket on the top and a ¼-20” screw thread in the base. The knurling around the edge is well defined and allows for a good grip when tightening and loosening the weights. The counterweights weighs exactly 100g (tested on calibrated scales). They have a diameter of 2.8cm, and is 2.1cm deep without the screw thread (2.7cm thick with). In conclusion, this is a very well made clamp and counter weight set. I have nothing negative to say about it, and can highly recommend this set for those that need it.~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest and impartial opinion about it. That’s what I have set out to do, so I hope you found it helpful. ~

Essential to balance longer and heavier lenses on a gimbal
Additional weights, and a clamp, are an essential bit of kit to balance long and heavy lenses using a gimbal stabiliser and this Neewer branded set is ideal, providing you have one of the compatible gimbals of course. The clamp is well machined and made with no rough edges. The locking mechanism is smooth and once tightened locks nice and securely in place, and will not unintentionally budge. When the Neewer clamp is correctly connected to the gimbal I have confidence everything will remain on place whilst shooting footage. There are loads of weight mounting points all over the clamp which ensures I can add the right amount of weight in the right place to ensure balance. This kit is supplied with 2 x 100g weights which may or may not be enough for you. 200g is enough for most of my lenses however I do have a particular hefty telephoto lens I like to use that requires more weight. For longer and heavier lenses you may need to buy additional weights.Like the clamp the weights are well machined and neatly turned and the knurled out means they are grippy, which makes adding and removing them a little easier.Once again, another top quality and affordable photography product from Neewer that, if you have the need for it, comes highly recommended.Disclaimer: I am privileged enough to be part of the Amazon Vine program and as such I have the opportunity request products that I would find useful/potentially buy to road test in exchange for an honest review. I am not paid for this and all of my reviews are unbiased and based on my own personal experience using the product.

Really useful for balancing awkward cameras
These counterweights are ideal for using awkward to balance cameras like the Blackmagic pockets on smaller gimbals, or if you’re using a really lightweight body with a heavier lens - basically any situation where you’ve maxed out the adjustments on the gimbal itself so need to compensate somewhere else!A lot of the time, the max payload of a gimbal isn’t the issue, it’s the physical size and limits of adjustment, or that a camera is awkwardly too heavy etc! So with this, you can clamp on the counterweight instead on the opposite side to the bit that’s too heavy. The kit is designed to have two weights which can either go next to each other if front heavy is the problem, or both the same side if the camera is tipping to the other side (or just one on one side if you only need a small adjustment!). There’s not a lot to say about it other than it works! If you need more weight than that, you can buy more weights, as they attach to each other. But from the rigs I’ve tested (pocket 4K with a normal lens and Sony mirrorless with a long lens), I don’t think you’ll need more than you get in the kit!All in all it works great, no issues at all!
