Nice piece of medical/surgical nostalgia.
I agree with one of the other reviewers in that the colourful and nicely embossed heart on the front cover looks a little out of place, but that aside, this makes a very fine addition to the personal library. Pictures and text are clear throughout (albeit a bit small, though no major problem). A very enjoyable piece of nostalgia, whether you're a quack or not. Saying that, as this was what Victorian med. students will have studied, get a modern one if you need it for serious study (though 99% is pretty much the same then, as it is now).

Grays Anatomy - It's a medium range overview of human anatomy if you want that it's beyond amazing.
It's nothing short of middle range detail through human anatomy information but it does little and glosses over texture of internal and external anatomy which it should "not" those are prominent factors for surgical solutions and in my honest opinion every change in homo sapien sapien must be represented as naturally possible with very little missed out if any if possible in books of this context. So yea this is probably why it's only 18 pounds instead of 140+ pounds for the 40th edition of grays anatomy.I would say it's worth the 18 pounds if you just want a general overview with some medium level detail but anything more you gotta go do some crazy research using documentaries , videos of dissections or actually get permission to dissect a true homo sapien sapien male, female ,intersexed whatever.A bit annoyed to tell you the truth but I absolutely love researching homo sapien sapien anatomy from top to bottom.

A great present
Bought as a present for a friend who's a medicine student. He already owns a Grey's for Students, but he loved this one. Looks very nice, though personally I think the silver detailing looks a little tacky. It contains the original illustrations, but I doubt he'll be using it as a revision resource.

Beautiful binding, beautiful book!
A beautiful book, rich leather binding with embossing to give a lovely feel in the hand as well. The pages are that classic thin, almost bible, paper and are silver edged which gives it a lovely shimmer as well. Very pleased with the quality and a very reasonable price given that quality! It was a gift and the recipient was very, very happy with it!

Gray's Anatomy
I bought this book as a present. I was a little worried that it would look too much like a text book but it is far from that. Other than being leather bound, the pages are edged with a silver colouring and there is a ribbon attached to the spin to mark the page. The over all appearance of the book is amazing and looks great on the shelf, and I have been told the contents is very interesting too :)

Very pleased
The edition of this Gray’s Anatomy is the 10th (the newest is the 41st), meaning it’s an antique version in black and white only. I’m pointing that out since it wasn’t mentioned anywhere on this page from what I could tell. Other than that, it’s a beautiful edition of the classic, with a hardcover embroidered with sophisticated details.

beautiful book
This leather-bound book is beautiful and just have a very nice feeling to it. has some very nice pictures inside too.the only negative for me was that some of the pages stuck together first time I opened the book, but over time it was possible to separate them gently. All in all a very unique book worth the money.

Beautiful book!
Really beautiful book, this is the edition that has all the descriptions and text not just the illustrations. I bought this for my boyfriend who loves anatomy books and the cover really made this a beautiful present
