Loved the game
Loved the game. The accompanying app is OK and quite fun to begin with but becomes a bit laborious and dare I say even a bit ... pointless??

Surprisingly fun. Ran it for the extended family over xmas
Surprisingly fun.Ran it for the extended family over xmas, and it went down very well with them since they're fans of the show.A little confusing at first with all the different cards, and really needs a pronunciation guide for some of the questions.

Good Entertainment, App works well
Bought this as the annual 'game to play after lunch on Xmas Day'.Normally I get nothing but a roll of the eyes and a pretence of being asleep from my long suffering in-laws but as they are fans of the show they were slightly keener to indulge me this year.We played with the Ipad app open which I have to say works brilliantly to keep the scores. If you use this then you don't need the score board that comes in the box.The only slight problem with the app is that if you do make a mistake there is no 'go back' option to correct it. That needs fixing but other than that its good and does adds a bit more to the usual board game scoring method of writing down a number with a ridiculously small pencil that even IKEA wouldn't have the cheek to give away.A lot of people are complaining about the answers being incorrect but cant say I noticed this and my mother-in-law is a general knowledge freak/undiscovered urban genius so I'm pretty sure she would have spotted it. Either way its a board game to provide a couple of hours entertainment so there isn't really any reason to lose your rag over it. Is there?Overall? Well its a board game so its not going to change your life much but for £10/15 it provided a more than adequate amount of entertainment over Xmas, and in my view better than a lot of the junk sold around Xmas time.

Firm Family Favourite
The product arrived quickly and has since become a firm family favourite to play at get-togethers. If you're a fan of the TV show or you have a general love for quiz type board games, I highly recommend the Pointless board game.

Fun but imperfect.
Agree with reviewers there were answers missing, such as the Beatles' first number one missing from question about Beatles' number ones! Provided at least an hour of happy family entertainment on Christmas Day, though glad I paid £11 not the £17 it has gone up to. The rules were a little complex so we played normal to rules. Would give it 3 1/2 but you cannot.

Extremely tedious and basically not fun to play at all!
I bought this for the family to play over Christmas, and after reading the instructions it became clear that this was not going to be fun to play. The instruction manual was useless and very contradictory and unclear on how you should play individually or as teams. We didnt even use the board at all and just opted to use the free app which kept tally of the scores, I think the score countdown with the effects from the show were a nice idea but eventually found it slow and cumbersome as you had to put in the answers yourselves. In the end we just kind of made up our own rules of how to play and each team got their own individual question rather than sharing one question which seemed to make the game less crap. There are a lot of question cards and we only used a small amount of them, but there were some glaring errors with the questions and answers. We also took it to the in-laws on Boxing day to give it another attempt, but the whole process became extremely tedious and we were all just longing for the game to be over so we could do something else. We have been asked not to take a game next year!I couldn't even bear taking this to the charity shop as I can't inflict the misery onto somebody else, so it went in the bin on the 27th December.
