These are used to provide different colour effects for the base of still Iife images. That are reasonably large so most small still life objects can be used. These work well on a lit or unlit light panel, the only think you might want to consider is buying matching card to sit as a vertical screen behind your still life. But the gels themselves work well, provide that different splash of colour and a slight reflection.

So I got these gels to add some colour to my videos and images for my product reviews.As always they arrived very quickly!The colour range, as shown, is nice and varied. They are good quality and thick enough that the colour comes through nicely when used with my Neewer CN-216 led light.One thing to note (which is more down to my stupidity than anything) is that you do need some distance between the gel and the light to prevent it from heating up and warping. To prevent this I picked up a Neewer soft box hood for the light. The combination actually massively improves the colour coming through.

Ok, have had mixed success with these. Main problem is they are very thick/rigid so hard to attach to light sources (reflector dish) with clips making them very fiddly to use in studio. Have given up in frustration more than a couple times.If you are able to secure them you can get some nice results.

Great set of starter gels, i used these in a photography studio to trial some new techniques, as a full time lighting technician i was interested to see the quality of the gels.Firstly they are quite stiff and thick not that this was a major problem they are still very malleable.Due to the thickness they do absorb the heat very quickly and therefore warp in shape. Although they changed shape they still held there colour, Would not recommend for extended use in front of hot lights though.Still very happy with my purchase and the end result i was looking for was created.

Bought to put over a super bright LED work light for effect. These are lovely quality. Really nice and thick, have scratch protection peel offs on both sides, and the range of colours is good. Light filtering output is bold and strong giving exactly what I wanted, a strong flood of colour over a wide area.I have also used on a pin spot for a disco ball and confirm they cut nicely too, with both a craft knife or sharp scissors.

Super, nice and thick gels with a variety of colours. I clipped them onto a studio flash for fashion photography and they worked a treat. The effect is subtle - about a 20% tint to the light I reckon, but very nice. Well worth the money. Don't forget to buy clips too!

Purchased these for use around the home. Have lots of white LED ceiling spotlights, which come on in banks of four and are too harsh at times. Using these lighting gels, it provides a totally different ambience (especially having white walls too) - all you need is a bit of patience to trim to required size (fortunately I've got expertise in these things having worked in nightclubs) and because these are of a decent thickness, they last some considerable time without "burning" through (as in, the colour fading or changing).Cheaper than buying actual coloured light bulbs by a distance.

Although these are strong in colour for the most part. These were brought to be used for our photography course in college, the gels melted even from a distance using a professional lighting set up. Very disappointing.
