Small size, easy and simple interface, very bright.....checks all my boxes
I bought Sofrin's SC18 it's latest offering to add to my growing collection of higher quality flashlights. Really pleased with the value here. I enjoy it's small size as it fits nicely in my hand....4" long and approx 7/8" in diameter.....light weight, and very bright. It has 5 levels of brightness....you'll generally be using the middle ones....I'll call them level 1, 2, 3 which you can cycle thru them with a single press of the side mounted switch....the lowest level....they call it "moonlight" is great for battery life and nice because it NOT too bright and accessed outside the "cycle" by a delayed press of the switch....the highest level....I guess called Turbo is accessed outside the the cycle as well, hugely bright ....with 2 quick presses of the switch. The other thing I like is that while holding it my thumb rests like a pointer over the switch making very easy to switch brightness levels. All of these features make this flashlight very easy to use with the 3 main levels that you'll easily cycle thru. It also has a nice strobe feature accessed by 3 presses of the switch from the off position....I use this all the time while walking my dog when I cross a street with traffic. This is my new go to light while out with my dog. I guess great everyday pocket light would great description.I recommend you read AndrewF's very in depth review for even more information....he tells it all.Just buy one and try it.....solid light from a reliable company.

Impressive compact flashlight!
Very impressive EDC flashlight. Brighter than most full size flashlights.Excellent choice for camping, hiking, hunting, work, emergency light, etc.Compact, lightweigh, and very easy to carry and to use. One click turns it on, double click and it is on the turbo mode. The one button operation can also change between the various other modes and brightness levels. Solid construction and feels sturdy.Tip, Tt make a bit easier to find the power button in the dark just turn the clip pointing to the power button and you will never miss it again. You got to appreciate the fact the manufacturer includes a full size charging cable and extra o-rings in case you need one. Most manufacturers out there do not provide a charging cable and do not offer spare parts.I have not tested the battery capacity, but I usualy only use it 5-10 minutes at a time. The other day I used it for almost 30 minutes and it seemed to be plenty of charge left as it fully recharged in less than 30 minutes.

Good Flashlight, but has some issues...
This flashlight has some great points - On its highest setting, it's extremely bright. I live the fact that I can turn it on to different settings easily, without cycling through the options. (Just tap the button once/twice/three times.) I didn't think I'd use the lower settings - I'm usually an all-or-nothing kind of guy, but I found them helpful. Finally, it is very small (for its strength). It has two flaws - First, on the high mode, it gets EXTREMELY hot. Second, when you keep it in your pocket, it tends to turn on by itself. When these two items combine, it can be...uncomfortable.

Excellent Basic EDC Style Pocket Rechargeable LED Flashlight.
This Sofirn SC18 puts all other budget, single LED Emitter with TIR optic lens, EDC type lights in this price range to shame. The SC18 6500K blasts out a legitimate 1800 lumen of pure white light, from a single emitter, when on the highest setting and comes with an excellent rechargeable Sofirn lithium 18650 battery. The simple "User Interface" is a joy to operate in its simplicity. It certainly puts out enough power to light up your way in any situation. The utility of this light is very impressive in use as a handheld or tail-standing lamp. Sofirn thoughtfully included a lanyard and extra "O" rings.I like the efficiency of the "C" type charging port. You will not find a finer light with this feature at this price point, in my opinion.I am so impressed with the Sofirn SC18 that I am now the proud owner of two of these great flashlights.I am very confident anyone in need of an affordable and dependable single-emitter EDC flashlight would be hard-pressed to find a finer light than a Sofirn SC18 at this price point.I highly recommend this flashlight.

Economical, Small, Rechargeable, and Bright
Excellent every day carry flashlight. It is quite small for an 18650 light, 25 mm D x 102 mm L, and fits in the pocket well. The switch can be activated inadvertently, so you may want to use the lockout feature, 4 clicks. This is one area that could be improved by slightly lowering the switch or building up a protective land around it. However, the lockout mode can avoid problems. From moonlight to turbo, it offers a good choice of brightness levels 30 - 1800 lumens in a total of 5 steps. As in most flashlights, turbo automatically throttles down to high after a few minutes to prevent overheating. Moonlight (30 lm) and low (100 lm) are about all you need indoors. The higher modes give you the brightness and throw needed for some outdoor uses. For prolonged outdoor use, you may want a real thrower with bigger battery and longer run times, but that won't fit in your pocket well. The User interface is simple and intuitive. It has memory for low, medium and high modes from your last used setting, hold the switch to step between low medium and hot. Access moonlight from off by holding the switch for a few seconds, turbo by double clicking. It does have a strobe mode (3 clicks) but no other blinky settings. I find the UI to be a reasonable choice of settings in a reasonable number of clicks. It is not overly complicated with things I don't really need.It will tail stand, and projected upwards onto a ceiling give useful room lighting if the power is out. The pocket clip is unidirectional and can not be reversed on the flashlight, so you can't attach to the visor of a baseball cap. That might be another area for future improvement, as would a magnetic tail cap.I've only had it a few days but it is a better EDC for me than any of my other flashlights.
