Simple but such a great toy!
The mind boggles at how people come up with ideas such as these. How did someone realise it would be so effective? This is a great toy! My 4 month old is obsessed with it and was immediately upon me opening it.It's really light and the 'o's of the ball are perfect for little fingers up reach in and grasp so the ball can be held (or thrown around the room in excitement)The ball is quite squishy which I liked- it means my baby can shove the edges into his mouth and try and chomp down. He's unsuccessful for the most part as he hasnt quite worked out how big his mouth is but when he makes contact there are no hard edges to upset him. It's our go-to toy of choice at the moment. No bells and whistles, no squeaks and rattles just simple fun. (And I also discovered that you can fit a dummy clip onto the ball and attach it to said 4 month old so the ball is within grasp during car journeys - genius)

Simple but engaging toy!
I discovered this toy accidently and I was presently surprised how a simple toy can be so engaging! My son is not yet 2 months and already enjoys this ball. It is lightweight and easily grasped as the holes are large ... but not too big meaning your little one will be able to hold the ball firmly. It collapses when squashed which I find a great feature as he can happily (at the moment try to) put it in his mouth/hit himself without injury.I agree with other reviews that the colours are not extremely vibrant. I believe the ball is despatched randomly meaning you can not select what colour you will receive. The blue/green ball was received, which is fortunate as it was for a little boy.My tip would be to purchase Bright Starts: Lots Of Links. I hook the ball to various things for him to enjoy, offering a different experience such as his play mat or pram meaning the toy does not become boring.Hope this review has been helpful.

Great little ball - easy to handle, and very soft and flexible
Great ball for little kids of any age. The ball looks like its solid, but it is both rigid and very flexible, and well made, so when thrown it will hold its shape, but then flex and bounce when it lands or impacts something, and if it accidentally hits someone, it will be very unlikely to cause harm. If you can imagine its similar to how a soft foam ball would flex if it impacts something, thats a pretty close representation, but its a bit more interesting to look at :)

They love it!
My twin boys love this, they've played with it from 6 months old (now 11 months) - it's so simple in design but really intrigues them & it's great for a young baby to hold onto or pass it from one hand to the other with ease. I don't know why it's such a good toy but I'm pleased I got it for them - I also bought them one with beads on it & they like that just as much too.

Great toy to get very young babies to begin to ...
Great toy to get very young babies to begin to grip onto things. Encourages newborns to open their hands more as the unique design means it's one of the only things a small baby could hold onto. It also bends & retains shape so you can cram it in the baby bag without breaking it & take it out with you.

Perfect first toy for little ones
Took me a while to decide whether to buy this as on the face of it I think it seems a bit pricey for what it is and doesn't seem that thrilling to play with. However really glad I did! This was the first toy my son started to show an interest in and hold - around the late two/early three month mark. Initially in one hand and now with two, I believe it's helping him learn to use both hands together (often as he tries - and fails - to get it in his mouth!).I've had to retrieve it from the other side of the room many times, so I've clipped some Bright Starts links to the ball for me to hold the other end of so it never goes far! This also means I can clip it on to other things like his activity gym. My partner and I also throw it to each other with my son sitting in the middle and he enjoys watching us!He's now four months old and it's his favourite toy, keeping him entertained for ages. For the amount of use it's had, the benefit for his coordination, and durability I'd say it's definitely been worth the money for us.

Excellent toy for a young baby
Best toy I've seen for a small baby. My daughter really enjoyed this from as young as three months. She was able to hold it easily and pass it between hands and she also seemed to be fascinated with the colours. It also functions as a proper ball so I can see a lot of use for this in years to come.

Wish we'd had choice of colour
Our son enjoys picking up and playing with this in the bath - great for small hands to grab. I just wish we had been sent the colour shown - instead we were sent a pink and purple one which I wouldn't have chosen and just don't like as much
