I've used hairspray on mine and it was fine . I havnt tried their spray yet . Hope this helps

Water won't be enough. You need to wash your hair properly with shampoo.

If someone touches your hair after application does it get on their hands?

It needs to be rubbed in well and then I don’t believe they would. I’ve got some in today and touched where I put it in and there’s none on my hands.
