An invaluable handbook for experienced, new and aspiring CROs alike
This is the book I wish existed before I became a Chief Risk Officer.I came across Jennifer Geary's book on my LinkedIn feed recently so thought I would check it out and ordered a copy. It's highly topical to modern challenges and well structured, with very practical insights.I found it just as relevant for an experienced CRO as it would be for someone aspiring to the role or stepping into the role for the first time, and I'm sure I will be referring back to it.Thanks for writing this Jennifer!

Clear and concise guide to managing risk
The book takes a wide view of risk, drawing in personal experience of the author, established Control frameworks, practical real-world examples and demonstrates effective methods for bringing risk management to life. The author explores the requirements and challenges of an effective CRO, and clearly demonstrates the importance of robust Risk frameworks - including case studies highlighting the impact of ineffective GRC policies. While the book is pitched at aspiring Chief Risk Officers, the content of the book should be considered essential reading for anyone with accountability for strategy, governance, or change management.

A must have for more than just Risk professionals
A refreshingly pragmatic and reader friendly approach and a welcome departure from what is typically an overly academic field of writing

Not just for Chief Risk Officers !
This is a extremely well structured introduction to the world of risk. Anyone who is involved in the management of risk in an organisation (and who isn't?!) should take the time to read this. It clearly sets out the mechanics of risk management and how everyone in the organisation should play their part. It is up to date and relevant (written post pandemic) and highly recommended
