The desk hutch "Sauder 412308" can be used, but it is 45" tall x 63 !/4" wide. This is the match for the desk. In all you will be 74 5/8" tall. Make sure you do your measurements. The hutch is designed to sit on top of the desk.

What is the length of the two deck sections?

The left side is 68 1/8" long and the right is 68 3/4"

Can you put return on either side or does it have to go in the right side?

The only section of the Sauder Palladia L-Desk that can be customized is the keyboard drawer. The keyboard can be attached to the right or left side of the desk.
