Installed this on rebuilding a 40 year-old dumb car 6 amp car battery charger, the meter shows the battery voltage upon hooking it up to battery without turning on power . And voltage / amprage while charging.My new smart battery chargers will not charge a completly dead battery, this old one will put a beguining charge into them and my new smart chargers can full charge them afterword . This volt amp meter works great. This meter is a replacement for the cheap ones. I've ordered originally from Amazon .

Replaced a shunt-type meter with this unit. Very satisfied (automotive application). Maybe just a little bright when on the open road at night, but otherwise nicely visible day and night in well-lit surroundings. Buying another for second car.

The unit was a bit disappointing. Although the dimensions were given, the unit is smaller and more delicate than expected. It was easy to connect and the display is easy to read. For the price it is a descent value. It worked for the purpose I needed: wanted to monitor the amp output of my 1958 Corvette having changed from generator to alternator.

Works perfect!

Built a charging and monitor panel near the door of my motorhome. This meter allows me to monitor the coach batteries while in use. It gives me their voltage and how many amps I'm using at that time. Been really accurate and haven't had any issues with it while using it for the last 2 months. Very happy with its performance.

Survived the harsh desert no problem. I actually came back and bought more. Super handy to always have readout of volts and amps. No need to fumble with multimeter.

Meter has bright and clear display, but no directions on polarity of ammeter function. Test before installation. You will get a second decimal point on display if polarity is reversed.
