Easy to use...
Relatively easy to cut ti fit area needed. It does crumble a little around the edges, but I will have to wait and see how it holds up in the long run. I purchased it for an area along a joint fence line. Our English Bulldog boarder has a love/hate relationship with the labradoodle who lives next door. He runs furiously up and down the fence and has churned up the grass there into just mud Impossible to just re-seed or plant due to his bad habit. It is spring, with lots of rain and he then is covered in mud. Since he is old and deaf it is impossible t just call him away. My two dogs are no problem here. I cut the strips in half horizontally and placed them next to the fence. Voila! No more mud on him, and it looks attractive. I may order some more to use around trees

I love these and order them every year.
These are pricey but great and I order a few more every year. I first bought them as a solution to a wet carport. Rain would pour off the roof of my open carport, hit the sand and gravel drive and splash into the carport until it was sloppy with water. Putting these right along the edge of the carport where the concrete met the drive stopped the splashing (rain goes right through but doesn't splash up) almost completely. I also use these in the garden to keep mud off my shoes and weeds out of the paths. Yes, they are a little delicate and can tear if you handle them roughly but I have several that I bought 3 years ago and they are still in use. Yes, a few determined weeds may get through but can be pulled. I like that these are reversible; if one side gets ratty or weedy then carefully flip them over to the new- looking side. Overall worth the money and can solve a lot of problems outdoors.

Fell apart when wet one week after installation
I bought this because my backyard is mostly made of clay and the water does not drain well ( see picture). I wanted a pathway from my shed to the house and thought this was the perfect solution. Wanted to buy more at first since theyāre only 6 feet long but only ordered one to try. Iām glad I did because after a week the rubber pathway started to fall apart and several pieces broke off. It did not allow the water to evaporate and it was very soggy. The label claims that the rubber is durable and maintenance free. Nope. The layer is thin and the bond is not strong between the rubber pieces. Iām returning this and will not be purchasing any rubber products from this company (that also happened to the rubber edging I purchased from this company). I spent $300 on these products and will be returning all of them. Thank Goodness amazon backs up the purchases. I got stepping stones to replace this pathway and it looks better already.

Color is like black mulch (not brown), some edges are frayed
These rubber mulch mats will work well for the area I needed them, but I'm disappointed that the color resembles black mulch and not brown. Also, on two of my nine mats, the edges were frayed so they aren't that strong in those areas. Quality could be better.

don't haul bags of mulch
Rather than hauling bags of mulch and spreading, I unroll these pathway sections. They last maybe three years of 4 seasons, depending on traffic. Mine go down the side of a long hill lot, front to back, along the side. They don't move, I use a leaf blower atop if I want to keep it all cool.Maybe if a neighbor puts a new roof on, or paints, ladders wear and tear, and workmen hiking up and down. Otherwise the dark brown looks great, no weeds, clear path, wood chips would have to go edge of property and to house . Love love.

Price went up, but quality went way down
I bought one of these a few years ago. It did not stop weeds as it had claimed, but it was very sturdy and durable. I bought a couple more to do another landscape project. The price went up 50%, which made me grumble, but I bought them anyway, because I had lived their product.I received them, and was knee-deep in my project when I opened the box. The project is on a hill, so I had planned to just gently unroll the mat down the slope and slide it into place. The dang thing was already falling apart when I opened the box. Chunks were cracking and falling off. There was even a large section of it about to fall off because it wasnāt well connected. It literally just crumbled in my hand, and looks sparse and cheap.Extremely unhappy with this product and will not purchase again.

Unroll carefully
I have owned a few of these pathways, and I use them in my very beautiful perennial garden. I love them. They're relatively easy to use ... but it is also easy to rip pieces out of it. It's not backed with anything and so your hand can go right through it. But other than that, it's so much easier to put these down to make a pathway in your garden than it would be to use pavers or bricks. You don't have to dig first. Just unroll it like a rug (using caution mentioned above). I used ground staples to anchor it in place, and I have one in the garden that has been there for at least four years.
