Worth the money
I know they are pricey but still 5/5 for refreshing my favorite headphones.

Does include all small parts.
They don't show it in the product photos and 2 of the 3 people who answer my question said that the locking ball is not included. Kit has every piece you could need, including 2 of the locking balls. Included a picture of the small parts bag.

Perfect
Exactly what I needed. Shipped in a Beyerdynamic bag straight from the manufacturer. I was expecting something offbrand for some reason. Installation was dead simple and straightforward. My DT990 pros are like new now.

Pretty sure mine's defective
"How could a piece of plastic be defective?" You might ask. Well you see Beyerdynamic in all of their wisdom made a piece of plastic control the grip strength of their headphones. Yes you heard it right replacing this piece of plastic greatly increases how much force these apply to your skull. And I'm pretty sure mine are defective because there's a lot of force on the back right of my head now.No it's not like they're brand new again. It's more like halfway between super stretched out and the death grip they applied when brand new.Yes these are stupidly overpriced ($30 part for a $100 pair of headphones?).No I wouldn't recommend buying 3rd party because almost all of them look 3D printed. I don't even want to know what kind of issues 3D printing this would cause. If you have a 3D printer go for it though worst case you print it again or buy this instead.

Overpriced & some incorrect info
Firstly, in the description it states that a T10 Hex Key is needed, and its weird enough that it doesn't come with one, but from what I tried it seems like it's actually a T9 that you need. a T8 or something would probably also work, but T10 is definitely too big. It's great that beyerdynamic keeps first-party replacement parts available to consumers for purchase, but $30 is quite excessive for a few pieces of plastic and no screwdriver for the non-standard screws. They work fine and look good, I will say they don't slide as nice as they did originally but I'll give the benefit of the doubt and call it user error. If you need to replace the sliding mechanism itself as well, you are given no instructions on how to do so.

Works as Expected
Fits my DT 990's well. My replacement parts came in perfect condition. The image for this product is blurry, but here is actually the cool design on the side of the slider. Each side was simple and relatively easy to install. The slide isn't as smooth as it was before, but may need warn-in. "Made in Germany" badged on the inside.I think it's questionable Beyer Dynamic designed this piece like this to be so easy to break, but the replacement parts are good for now.

Fit perfectly
I somehow managed to shatter the old sliders on my DT770 pro's and these were a perfect replacement. It took me 15 minutes and the headphones feel much stiffer (in a good way.) Not that I care but they also have the updated Beyerdynamic logo, which is nice. It remains to be seen if they can last the year and a half (hopefully longer) that the other pair did, but it's nice to see replacement parts for expensive headphones like these.

Will eventually break again...
Wasn't easy to install with no instructions and one of the sliders broke again 6 months laterWill give a 3rd party pair a try
