Bought as a gift for a craftsman. Finish and markings are well done. He put them in his to use tool chest, not the might use box.

They are cheaply made but work and are accurate, I'd buy again.

I ordered this for the spring calipers and spring dividers, so the rest of the set (pocket rule, depth gauge, and Vernier calipers) was like a thank-you gift for buying the set. And, given the quality of those extra items, they're just barely beyond the level of a give-away. I wasn't expecting anything like a Mitutoyo or Starrett, so I wasn't as disappointed as some of the review writers here have been.The fit and finish are what you'd expect; a few minutes with an abrasive pad cleaned up the milling marks. However, the first time I used the dividers I ended up slicing my finger on the spring. So I spent even more time filing down the edges of all the springs.The calipers themselves are sturdily constructed and do the job. Getting them ready to work well took a bit of time, and was like buying a cheap hand plane: the less money you spend, the more time you spend prepping the tool to get it into a serviceable state.

Though we have moved on from wood measurement tools, there are still those of us who eschew electronic measuring devices, preferring the basic devices that have been in use for uncounted years around the world. This 6-piece set is well-crafted, shipped quickly, and well conditioned and protected for transit. On inspection, the tools are solid, nicely made, and have the right weight and heft for many levels of usage. I recommend this set to others.

I am a new woodturner and did not want to invest too much. This set is okay. Not great quality but they work. The depth gauge screw sometimes slips. Mostly lack features of higher end tools like quick settings on the calipers. I will continue to use them because they are good enough for my needs.

First thing, these arrive drenched in oil. Very annoying.These are budget tools and are finished as such. They do not feel cheap by any means, just rougher around the edges. Knock down any potentially sharp edges and you be fine.Note: I have not compared the accuracy of any of the ruler markings. I use these just to reference. If I need precise measurements I use a dial/digital calipers.
