Get the UY2's and NOT the UY type.
The UY2 connectors work with 20-18 gauge wire. The UY type (which I ordered and returned) are only for telephone wire 26-22 gauge---They are not useful in the Christmas Lighting hobby. Even if you buy the newer type "clickits" which do three wires at once, the UY2's are very handy even though it takes three of 'em to do a single splice.

These Rebuild Skills connectors are a delight! Easy to use and built to withstand the elements. I am very pleased with their design, performance, and functionality. They cost a little more than “basic” splice terminals, but you get what you pay, making them a genuine value.
