Tip on installing earpads
First of all these pads are slightly more firm than the OEM pads, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. In fact I think I like these ones more. We'll see if it gets softer over time. These pads are pretty hard to install at first. If you simply press the edges down to the headphones it won't click. You need to tilt the hard plastic base at an angle, with the inside edge tilting up in order for the base to click in.Start by inserting the right side (assuming you're right handed) of the cushion into the headphone, at a 25 degree angle. This will get one side installed. Now work on installing the left side. You'll want to squeeze the hard plastic base with your index finger and your thumb, with your thumbnail on the outside edge while your index finger is lifting the inside edge of the base. Once you get enough of an angle, the base will snap into place. You can then do the same with the top and bottom edges. They will be tougher but the method is the same.Good luck!

Respectable replacements for QC35
After two years, my Bose Q35 suffered it's first major case of wear-and-tear, with the left ear cushion spontaneously rupturing and allowing the memory foam to burst out the cushion. To order new cushions from Bose, cost $35. So a $15 price difference isn't exponential, but these cushions from Accessory House had Prime shipping, so I was sold. For the record, these are 'not' OEM parts from Bose. They are very close to the original ear cushions, but there are some differences.Installation of the new cushions can be a bit confusing, as it foam ring that holds onto the clips can sometimes be finicky and they end up popping out of the clips when trying to fit them in. A little trial and error is all it takes. In the images below, the Accessory House is on the left, and the original is on the right. The right-ear original cushion was still intact for comparison. Right away, I can see the originals are much more fuller and fatter. They are softer while the new ones are stiffer, however, it is only very minuscule. I myself was questioning as to how stiff they were, but this could be because of the new ones being thinner, therefore, the memory foam is more tightly packed compared to the originals. It is an extremely subtle difference, but they are not 'tough' as some described them as.These headphones still feel very comfortable, and the seal for noise cancelling is effective for adequate isolation. Because they're thinner, your ears are closer to the sound drivers. Whether or not that impacts listening is entirely up to your own experience, as they can be interpreted differently. But these feel excellent, and the leather feels just as good as the ones that originally came with the QC35's.The package also comes with a plastic opening tool and replacement scrims. I didn't use the scrims since the originals didn't need replacing. I also would advise against using the opening tool, as you can damage the plastic clips that hold the cushions in place. In the long term, we'll see how these hold up, and will update my review accordingly.

Best Replacement Ear Pads
By far the closest to OEM quality for Bose QC35ii headphones. Have tried other brands that hurt my ears. These are plush, high quality replacements.

As good as the original bose cushions
These feel just as nice and last just as long as the original Bose cushions. I have had both a set of QC35 and a QC35 II, and worn out both original sets of cushions, and these replacement cushions outlived the first QC35 and are still going strong in the QC35 II's.

Super comfy - why didn’t I swap before? Restored to “As New”
I can’t believe I went so long with pads that had the black coating falling everywhere. I purchased the QC35 headphones in December 2016 and didn’t know if I would have to replace them after having an issue with the power switch and the coating on the foam pads breaking down. Found these super comfortable and easy to swap. Many videos available. Use the plastic tool to assist with inserting the pads for the “click”. Simple.I had issues with the headphones turning on randomly, thus the battery died while sitting in their case. In the process of swapping the pads I fixed my power switch with a video on how to remove the side cover (3 screws behind the “R” inner earmuff liner). Sprayed electronic contact cleaner on the switch. Moved the switch back and forth several times to clean. Now I have virtually brand new and comfortable headphones. So happy.
