The best! We started off with 2 of the books and my son (almost 4) has been loving them since we first got them at age 2. Recently he discovered there was a 3rd book and asked to get it. It’s now a must-listen/follow-along every night before he goes to bed. The books are well made and easy to follow along in English, Chinese and Pinyin. The images are fun and the music is clear. Apparently, the creator herself sang the songs! Honestly the best books for introducing Chinese to all ages.

I have all three of the Bao Bao Learns Chinese series. What I especially love is that this book features the Happy Birthday song. It is one of the first songs many babies learn. They seem to be drawn to its simplicity and repetition. If you are just starting out on Chinese, I would recommend acquiring this book first since the melody will be so familiar.We have a robust collection of musical type books such as the Ditty Bird and Cali series. I will speak to what makes the Bao Bao series our all time favorite.Repetition of songsAlmost all the musical books truncate songs so you only get the first refrain. This series repeats the refrain twice. I think this adds to better language acquisition. We have the Cali Spanish book and my one complaint is that its songs are extremely short.Quality DesignMusical books are on the upper end of the cost spectrum so buying books that don't last is frustrating. We bought our first Bao Bao book two years ago. It is still going strong. We have not had to change the batteries or had any misfires with songs not working. This has been a BIG problem with the Ditty Bird series. Some books are great, but others have stopped working within months. We have a steady supply of batteries--changing them doesn't solve the problem.Clear Read Along Lyrics in Chinese and EnglishAs a non native speaker of Chinese, I appreciate having both pinyin English and Chinese to read along with my child. Again, I think seeing the characters reinforces long term learning even if your child is too young at this age to read characters. If I had one nitpicky criticism, it is that the Swallow Tail song is hard to read because it is black print against a rather darkish blue background.We are thrilled to have the Bao Bao series as part of our book collection.

My friend who is a friend of the writer gave us vol 1 as a baby shower present. Being in a mix household it’s really hard trying to teach your kids a second language that your partner doesn’t speak. These books are great bc my partner can follow along and reinforce the language with the kid. The books are well design that takes a toddler’s beating, the pronunciation is clear and loud so both kid and parent can hear and repeat. I end up getting the other 2 and hopes more volumes are made.

These have been LIFE SAVERS for me with my twin infants / toddlers. They’re the only way I can get them into their car seats without screaming. The sound quality is great, the printing quality (thick like board book pages) is perfect, and their Taiwanese grandparents approve of the native pronunciation & grammar!

We have all three books and bought them twice to leave some copies at the grandparents’ too as our baby loves them! Fantastic songs and books!

My baby loves these books! This is the third one that I’ve purchased. Her face glows when I express excitement at her reciting the songs in Mandarin. Pretty impressive for a two-year-old!

My son loves these books! He has been very against learning Chinese, but I catch him playing the songs and trying to learn them. The songs are clear and articulated, and repeat twice so they are memorable. Got this as a gift, but had go order another! Thank you for making these!
