Rubbish!
Work less then a week. I think!! Why? Because it was so quiet in the beginning I could not hear it. Was very happy but noticed after a few days the fans where not spinning.Tested all electric and conclusions was the unit died. Bought a more expensive wellknow brand and that worked perfectly with more vacuum power!Don't buy this

Don't put the cover on until you're satisfied. It's a very snug fit
First things first, don't put the cover on until you're satisfied you've got it set up as you want it, as it's a very snug fit and can be quite awkward to get off again (especially up in the top corner of a bathroom close to ceiling and walls where these are often located). Before you put it on, it is probably worth gently sanding or shaving down the retaining lugs a little bit. Obviously not too much or they won't be able to do their job, but enough so the cover can be removed when needed.Secondly, if you are not comfortable with electrics and how they work, then get somebody who is comfortable or a professional electrician to install it for you. If you are going to do it yourself then make sure you isolate it first, let anybody else that's about know you're doing it so they don't accidentally turn the circuit on again, and then before you start disconnecting wires, etc, check the power is actually off with a multimeter or similar so you don't get a shock. My old fan was getting noisier so I decided that it was time to replace it. I found this which seemed to fit my requirements. Specs said it was the same size, had a good extraction volume, had a timer, didn't cost too much and above all was quiet. It took less than 15 mins to fit including getting tools out and putting them away again. Whilst it's only been on for an hour or two, it seems to be fine so far. It'd be nice if there was an arrow on the timer adjustment screw and markings to line it up with for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 mins etc for the timer to have an idea of roughly how long it'd run for, but a bit of trial and error can soon get it running for about the right amount of time. Not an essential thing, but a "nice to have feature" for the manufacturer to consider for the future.I would also like to have perhaps seen slightly bigger screws and plugs included. Whilst it is nice that they were included and what's included would be perfectly fine for a new install, a lot of people buying these fans will be replacing old ones. These older ones would often have used larger screws and plugs. Since the holes in this one lined up with the old ones by virtue of most fans being the same dimensions, I had to go raid my own stores for the right sized plugs and just re-used the screws from the old fan I was removing. Not a problem for me, but not everyone has things like spare wall plugs lying around.Overall, I'm very impressed with the fan, how quiet it is and how quick and simple to install it was. Especially at this price point. A lot of fans this quiet, are double or treble this price, with some even more than that. Shows just how much money you're often paying just for a branded name on the front. My review is finished, the next bits is just a slightly ranty part aimed at some of the negative reviews I saw and makes me wonder how some people have survived this long.To the idiot reviewers saying "I'm sending this back, it's not silent", etc, of course it isn't silent. I'd say use some common sense, but it doesn't seem to be that common. You'd be very hard pushed to find a truly 100% silent fan that doesn't produce a single decibel of noise. The only sort of "silent fan" I can think of is to open the window and let natural air flow do the job, but the noise from outside is probably more than this generates. Read the "About This Item" section at the very top of the page next to the pictures, it tells you that it generates noise and even list how much (approx 26dB @ 3m). It might not be silent, but it is very quiet and a lot quieter than the old ones used to be. I compared the listed dB with those from much more expensive "branded" fans and it was within 2 or 3 dB different maximum. I also tested with a decibel meter app on my phone and once installed, the difference between it being off and on was only 10-12dB when 1 m away. For a product who's specs say it produces 26dB @ 3m distance, I thought that producing 10-12 @ 1m was very good.Again, if you are not comfortable with electrics and how they work, then get somebody who is comfortable with them or a professional electrician to install it. Remember that a little knowledge can be dangerous. Eg, there's a review from about a year ago with someone listing the item as "Poor" and "Can't get it to work". They claim to have tried connecting the live wire to L, LT and bridging them (so effectively wiring it to both), but still can't get it to work. Of course it won't. The picture they've uploaded clearly shows they only have 2 wires coming in to the fan, a Live (I suspect a Switched Live rather than a permanent live) and a Neutral. The fan requires a Permanent Live AND a Switched Live, as well as a Neutral. The permanent live provides the power to run the fan and the timer countdown, etc, the switched live provides the trigger to start the timer countdown. If you only wire to L you have no trigger, if you only wire to LT you have nothing to power the fan and timer, if you wire to one and bridge L and LT (effectively wire to both) you might be able to start it but it would also turn off with the light (not with the timer), because you've taken away the power to L when the light turns off. I suspect this person has only run a switched live and neutral from the light switch and not a permanent live. This would be fine for a simple "on/off" type fan that works with the light, but is no good for a fan with a timer. If you can't work out simple things like this then you shouldn't be touching electrics at all other than perhaps changing a lightbulb, and even then I'd be worried for your safety.

Silencieux a 25db
