Strudy, easy to assemble and use, high quality!
Wow! A breeze to assemble and to use, and I'm not just blowing hot air. I watered the lawn in the AM for ~ 18minutes, then a few hours later used the aerator tool to poke holes in the lawn--healthy turf and "bald" spots. It only took me 1 hours and fifty minutes to areate a yard (that's ~ 365 sq feet, not a yard as in 3 feet). I used two feet (that's my feet, not 24 inches) so my feet wouldn't get tired. A sturdy tool, comforable to use, and does the job easily.

It is What it is
It's a spike aerator and it does what a spike aerator does. It doesn't make large wholes or remove plugs from you lawn. Most of the negative reviews I read are based around the soil conditions of the users. Some said it was too hard to push into the ground. Well that's because their soil was heavily compacted. Which is the reason for aerating in the first place. Maybe they should tell people to water your lawn thoroughly the day before. But that's just common sense. It doesn't make huge holes "for the seed to fall into." It's not supposed to. You don't want the seed to fall 2 or 3 inches into the ground. It won't germinate. "It's a lot of work." That should be obvious. It does what it's designed to do for a reasonable price. It's well built and easy to assemble. Some people complained about the tools that come with it. I'm from a generation where everyone had their own set of wrenches. I'm 64 and it pretty much wore me out after two hours of stomping this thing into the ground and pulling it out. But I expecting nothing less.Use it on damp soil. Once you get it into the soil, rock it back and forth lightly as you bring it out. The harder it is to get it into the ground, the more you need to aerate that section. I punched about 6000 holes in a 900 sqft section of my lawn in a little over two hours. I do not plan to do the other 8000+ sqft of my lawn with this tool. I could, but it would take me days and days to do. There are other, much more expensive, devices for that.

Sturdy, Effective, and Easy to Use
I’ve been using the Walensee Lawn Aerator Spike Tool for about a week now, and I’m genuinely impressed. Assembly was super easy with a few bolts, which saved time and hassle right out of the box. The 15 iron spikes are solid and well-positioned, making it easy to get good soil penetration without too much effort. It also came with a few extra spikes just in case. The handle is comfortable and the overall build feels durable and light weight—no wobbling or cheap parts. I used it after watering the lawn lightly, and it worked great for loosening compacted soil and improving drainage. I just used it and will be waiting a few weeks to update this review to share my thoughts.Perfect for a small to medium-sized yard. If you're looking for an affordable, manual way to aerate without investing in expensive machinery, this tool is a no-brainer. Highly recommended for any DIY lawn enthusiast!

Shoe spikes work better
Sturdy well built tool but you need patience to aerate a large area. My wife bought me spikes that attach to my shoes. They work much better and easier than this tool.

Space-saving aerator.
This manual spike aerator is an ideal tool for your lawn. I had to add dirt in some low areas and I read where you should use an aerator before laying dirt to promote good drainage. This tool was perfect for that as I only had about 5 low spots. I had no problem assembling it; and it comes with extra spikes if you need it. No issues with cleaning it, just rinse off. After use I hang it on the wall with the rest of the tools in my garage. Easy enough, doesn't take up space like a lawn mower would. Great value for the money spent and so easy to use. Just step on it and it sinks in the ground, Perfet!
