64GB worked w/ late 2018 Mac Mini
I’ve been using Crucial RAM forever and needed to upgrade my family computer. This RAM has greatly improved performance and enabled an upgrade to MacOS 15 Sequoia. The annoying Apple pop up spamming me that my Mini’s memory was low is gone. Big applications can run no problem with large .PDFs open contemporaneously.Dads, strap on the Etonic comfort sandals with socks following this project; and assume your hardest Cptn. Morgan pose when filling in the other neighborhood dads whom you tolerate in your territory regarding the unfathomable accomplishment you've wrought forth with your dad mitts. For not only did you perform cyber surgery on this Macintosh mare's innards, but the six year old girl lived to tell the tale and NOW. SHE. RIPS.Now, to throw more dirt on Apple: physically installing these So-Dimm sticks in the Mac Mini was like a powerful rash on the nether regions. The required tools which you DO NOT currently possess and are, indeed, 100% required for wiring work (particular on the power plug and the wifi antenna YOU CANNOT BE DELICATE ENOUGH) are also found on budget here on amazon with the JOREST 38Pcs Small Precision Screwdriver Set. If you think differently then I guess you're a Jabroni who needs to do a better job staying on top of the pressure washing on his home's siding in the back, PHIL! Be sure that you spend enough time on YouTube before you undertake this one: Apple intentionally engineered the box to be lay-person resistant. But with time, attention and care you can avoid a big cost associated with having a professional or the OEM themselves upgrade the RAM.

Cheap Mac Upgrade
I have an Intel Mac that was struggling with 16GB of RAM. Looked into buying a Apple silicone mac mini but could not justify the cost of one that supported 3 monitors. Installation is simple with the right bit and now the Mac Mini is alive. There are some weird issues with Chrome and Bluetooth but only does it (shutters) maybe once a month and a restart corrects it.

Works perfectly in a 2019 21.5" iMac...
As always, Crucial is the best all around brand for Apple's (upgradable) computers. Crucial is owned by Micron, a company that Apple themselves uses as an OEM supplier. If you've ever pulled RAM out of a Mac before, you might have seen "Micron" on the labels. Crucial supplies their own branded components that you'd never see inside as OEM on a Mac, but the RAM itself is Micron underneath the Crucial label. It's the brand I always trust most with RAM upgrades on a Mac. It's not the cheapest, and is far from the most expensive. But it is the most dependable. And trust me, you want dependability if you're going to go through the hassle of upgrading the memory on a 2019 iMac.That said, installing RAM on a 2019 21.5" iMac is no easy task, at least not for the faint of heart. You'll also need to order yourself new display adhesive as you cannot reuse what was on the machine. I'd also advise that if you're going to go in, to also upgrade anything else that needs upgrading (SSD, adding a second drive, CPU, etc). Because it's not easy or fun in there, it's just nice to knock it all out of the park if you can. Also make sure you have your Torx screwdrivers ready as you'll need T5, T6, T8, T9 and T10 sizes, in addition to a P00/P000 screwdriver. Make sure the screwdrivers come magnetized, and if not get yourself a driver magnetizer/demagnetizer. It's quite the journey in there, which you should look into over at ifixit.com before you order a single thing.

Great addition to 2019 27" iMac 5k
If you're wondering, yes, these can be added to the factory sticks that your machine came with - in my case adding these 32x2 gave me a total of 80GB and made a real difference.I organize my day-to-day by having a desktop open for each separate project - with each desktop having organized browser windows/tabs, Finder folders, etc. I was getting by with the factory stock 16gb, but upping the total RAM to 80gb is impressive.I unplugged the computer, rested it gently (padded) on the monitor, and pressed harder/further than anticipated on the button revealed under the power cord to pop open the memory cover. Note: set this cover aside in the same orientation to make reassembly easier with the flush fit. I pulled one factory 8gb stick and replaced it with the new 32gb stick, and repeated for the second replacement. I then put the original 8gb memory back in the two remaining slots.Your Mac wants the memory spread evenly across the channels - that is why there was originally a gap between them. So stick to that placement/spacing. In my case, my memory goes 32gb, 8gb, 32gb, 8gb.Make sure they are firmly and fully seated and close the tab back over and reassemble. Can be done in 5 minutes and you'll be very happy! Boot the system up and everything will initialize and you'll be good to go - if not, it is almost certainly because you don't have the memory sticks fully seated.
