Will this hook up to 100 watt solar panel to de-ice a water tank made from a large equipment tire for watering cattle?

I run mine off of a 12v deep cycle battery that is solar charged by a 100w panel. I added a second battery on a parallel circuit to increase run time. Even with 2 batteries the pump will not run 24 hours. I get 12 daylight hours run time on my setup.

What is the noise level?

Surprisingly loud. Mine is part of a solar powered pond aeration system. The pump is located by the pond. At quiet times like the morning and evening it is very audible at the house, approximately 600' distance. So much so that I built an enclosure lined with sound board to quiet it down. This is my second one of these. The first one lasted a little over 2 years, running 10 hours per day. About what I expected so no complaints.

Works great for transporting fish.

I used this pump to transfer 88 Koi fish 150 miles to their new home. The air stones blow big bubbles but hey it works! I just needed to get air into the tubs so the fish wouldn't die. Worked like a charm

Motor Brushes Wear Out Quickly. Motor (Pump) Stops!

A DC motor has brushes. Pump failed at 1000 hours. Brushes do not last. The manufacturer does not overhaul or rebuild of brushes. For my 12 VDC installation, I switched to 120 VAC by using a 12 V inverter. 12 VDC line runs 100 feet to the pond location. There a 12 DC to 120 VAC inverter creates 120 VAC that powers a 120 VAC air pump. No Brushes in an AC motor! It wonderful. This is the way to go if you can understand the technical details which are really very simple.

Lots of air flow but noisy

Just hooked it up two days ago. I have it provided two 80 gallon aquaponics tanks. Lots and lots of air, the only complaint is it’s loud.

Works, but needs better hoses

I wish I could have used this right out the box, but I have to go buy additional parts to use it. The hoses it comes with don't fit very well. When I took it out the box, the hoses were melted together and super flimsy. Getting them to fit on the shunt is next to impossible.I was able to power it on and test it otherwise and everything else works.
