Dorman 917-148 Accessory Drive Belt Idler Pulley Adjustment Bolt Kit Compatible with Select Lexus / Toyota Models

I needed this for my friend's 2007 Highlander 3.3l V6 non-hybrid, as her accessory belt started slipping making horrible noise and when I went to replace it, the previous owner of the vehicle had removed the tensioner from the alternator bracket, and apparently found some way to set the tension "well enough" and then proceeded to hammer down the pivot bolt to hold it in place. I wasn't so lucky and couldn't get the alternator tight enough for the belt not to squeal.This was the perfect solution. It took some finagling to get it in place, but once I had it threaded the rest of the process was stupid simple. If you break or lose your tensioner somehow, don't be a cowboy and try to overcome it by honking down the pivot bolt, just spend the (currently) less than $13 to replace it. This works perfectly.

Worked with very little modification on 2007 Kia sportage 2.0. Much better than the $85 original.

Works for 1999 NB Miata Alternator.

Works on a '97 Camry with a 4 cylinder. I'm not sure why all the online auto parts stores have it listed for the 6 cylinder Camry only. The only difference is that the block is not threaded for the tensioner bolt so you will need to retain the existing threaded block or procure a nut and washer for that bolt. Saved me a trip to the junk yard.

I was replacing the alternator on a 91 1.6L Miata, and noticed this assembly was completely absent. After doing a search, the original Mazda parts are hard to come by and quite expensive because of that. I took a total shot in the dark with this assembly, and to my astonishment, it is flawless and works in every way intended as the original OEM Mazda design. The spacing block is the right size, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, the thread pitch and diameter of the alternator locking bolt is the EXACT size and length that you need to work with the NA 1.6L alternator assembly. I was ecstatic to see it work perfectly for the NA 1.6L application.

No problems, good quality parts and fit directly in place of the originals I had to cut off of my v6 camry.
