I have to admit that I did not think this was going to work at first. Mouth guard felt very bulky and uncomfortable at first- like I had a mouthful of marbles. I fell asleep in 20 minutes on night 1 and have been sleeping well ever since. Either my wife or I was going to the couch often due to my snoring. She was irritated, and I was irritated with the constant nudging. My snoring is reduced by 90-95%. It is a non- issue now. Plans for separate bedrooms are canceled.I don’t find it uncomfortable at all anymore. It does move my teeth but everything realigns quickly. Slobbering is definitely a negative. I slobber like a Rottweiler every night but way better than the alternative.

Thick bulky
Ordered product followed instructions and Proceeded to wear it and it made my snoring worse very uncomfortable large and dried my mouth out and my lips. For the price I paid you would think I would have got a better quality Item I would suggest checking out target mouthpieces at the Better prices how do you return something like this once you've used it and paid that much money for a piece of plasticBetter prices how do you return something like this once you've used it and paid that much money for a piece of plastic

Maybe it would be good if it would stay in place
The good: The company offers 30 day money back guarantee. The product wasn't that hard to prepare and use and the paper work is good. The shippng was fast. The price is reasonable. It would probably cost a ton more to get an ortho made appliance. The deal breaker: Unlike an upper only anti grinding appliance, this is an upper/lower anti-snore, sleep apnea type appliance. My experience was it would simply only stay in place for the first three or four hours of sleep and then the mouth would relax, and it would fall out. If you think about the design, the upper part is more snug with longer teeth, and it mostly rests on the shorter lower teeth. Yes if it would stay in place, you would definitely stop snoring and you would be forced to breath through your mouth, if you used the plastic insert as well to close the gap. (But make sure your airway in the nose is clear because you don't want to smother). I would use Flonaise before using the appliance. The only thing I could do to keep it in place was to try a little dental adhesive in it so it would stick some to my teeth. But it's not enjoyable to spend ten minutes the next day trying to clean up that slimey glue from the mouth and teeth and appliance. Eh. So I'm returning it and I'm going to see if I can find something that will stay in place.

Here's what you need to know
For me, It works! I could understand it's not for everybody, but this mouth guard has been a nice surprise. A couple of things will happen if you stick with its use. For the first month or two, you're going to wake up and your teeth are going to be sore. Maybe because I grind? Who knows. Your lips may be dry in the morning. Really dry. So before you go to bed, apply ChapStick. You may drool a little during the night. I've learned to accept it. Other than those minor occurrences my sleep has improved 1000%. I can't remember a time when I've slept better. My snoring is not completely gone but has subsided considerably. For the money, I gave it a shot and It works.

Mouthpiece deformed completely in hot water !!
The mouthpiece became a gooey jelly mess after placing it in boiling water. After 2 minutes in the hot water, the plastic actually STUCK both to the bottom of my measuring cup and to the fork I used to hold it down under the water. When I peeled the mouthpiece off of them, long thin strands of plastic stretched out from the edges of the mouthpiece ! I still tried to put it in my mouth, thinking that maybe once it was in between my teeth it would be reformed. Nope, it still came out a total mess, with stringy strands of plastic and sharp edges all around (see the photos). I would be concerned about ingesting plastic as they flake off in my mouth while I sleep.

Caveat Emptor!
This product did not work for me, but to be fair it may due to an overbite, and possibly it will work for others (as seems to be the case per several reviews). I am rating three stars because the company, Dentemp, sets aside their return policy if purchased on Amazon. The literature enclosed with the product outlines a return policy, but when I attempted to return my request was refused because it was purchased on Amazon. In Lou of refund, I asked if credit could be given to purchase one of their regular guards, but it was also declined. Amazon, because of the nature of the product, will not honor returns. After reaching out to Amazon, I was granted a one time credit as a courtesy. The product is available elsewhere, as are similar from other manufacturers, so while I appreciate Amazon working with me this time, be advised that if purchased here it will most likely not be returnable for any reason, other than if defective. That's the tooth, the whole tooth, and nothing but the tooth.
