Will someone that has this measure the height? It says 5”but some are saying it’s 3”. I am only 5’2” so I think 5” might be too high for hip surgery.

First off, I have a low toilet bowl ... low in that it is "normal". My seat riser is 4.5 inches and measures 19 inches from floor to top of the seat. I am 5'1" and these work perfectly for me. I got them due to knee replacement surgery. I have NO trouble getting on and off these are they are the perfect height for me. Good luck!! BTW - knee replacement surgery is HARDER on you than hip surgery and the pain lasts longer. Hope all is well with you.

Are you talking about the inside width of the toilet seat? If so, mine is approximately 7 to 8 inches wide.

what is the inside bowl measurement? i need one one that isn't too wide.

I'm currently using the dark blue seat, the inside measurement is approximately 7 to 8 inches wide. Although, I have seats in white and gray both are stored away and I don't have ready access to measure them. I'm very aware most times asking the seller's for any assistance is useless. Easy to install

Secure and easy installation

I recently moved in with my son who has a very low toilet. I wanted something I could use to add height and that was secure but also easily removable when not in use. This fit the bill perfectly! The toilet has an elongated seat, so I wasn't sure how this seat riser would fit both a regular and an elongated toilet seat. The riser was so easy to install with no tools needed. Set it on top of the rim of the toilet and with a few twists of the knob, it's held securely in place. I have no problem removing the seat after use and just store it next to the toilet. The seat itself is the perfect height, comfortable, very secure (I weigh almost 300 lbs) with enough room for sanitary purposes. It's exactly what I've been looking for. Thank you, Medline!

Nope. Does NOT fit every oblong seat.

Contrary to all the photographs on their ads, this booster does not secure to toilets with existing standard seats. I'm sure if I went through the trouble of removing the standard seat and lid this may fit to the porcelain rim quite well. But we were looking for something with quick on/off functionality so that the guest bathroom could be used by all in a matter or moments. We ended up finding another seat which also shows it can simply sit on the existing seat.

Does not work

The very inadequate screw mechanism is completely useless and this will not securely attach to the toilet. It slips and slides all over the place. Plus, by how it was packaged & taped, it seems that it was a previously returned item! I don't think it's good business to send out items that have been previously returned w/o it being listed as such. I also will be returning this useless item.
