I don’t know where the jar is made, however if your are worried about it’s food safety it’s made from borosilicate glass and it’s lead free.

No, it is much smaller. It might hold 1.5lbs… I use it to store peanut butter (family loves PB) on my counter. It is very pretty and I get a lot of compliments. Buy it! You will find somewhere to put it. ;)
