Works good but..
24' H-D Street glide.Hardware/base fits properly under the seat.Some things to note though...The holes in the mounting base line up correctly but, bolting the front two down to the frame would be a exercise in frustration. I just went and got two self tapping screws instead.There is no where to mount the lever release handle, not really sure what I'm going to do with it.The release handle does not allow you to remove the backrest, it only allows movement of the backrest forward.In order to remove the backrest, you have to reach into the seat slot and push the locking mechanism to the side.To adjust the height there is a spring loaded pin but, it will only move the full length of the shaft by removing a bolt, then sliding it up or down and replacing the bolt to secure it.The back of the pleather covering is loose, (I'm going to add some Velcro strips.)Even at it's lowest setting,it still sits fairly high off the seat.Now, none of these things would stop me from recommending this product. Especially vs the cost of one from Harley.Just a FYI

Seems as good as OEM.
I had a Harley one on and it would not adjust any more. This one looks and functions exactly like the OEM. Seems to be very well made and half the price of a genuine Harley back rest.

Quality Item, Poor Instructions
Works well and seems strong. The directions were very very hard to read due to the poor copy of the photo. Does anyone know where this part goes? I assembled as directed by instructions but could never find where this goes.

Adjustable backrest & bracket
This backrest is one of the best i have tried on my motorcycles .You can adjust it on the fly while at a stop light or riding down the road, by simply reaching down & pulling the lever with a finger . This means you have good back support while riding sitting straight up or leaning way back. It also has adjustment for the hight of the back rest pad . Backrest is removable by a push of finger. The backrest is spring loaded and folds foward making mounting the motorcycle easy for a passenger or throwing your leg up & over . It's sturdy and will last many years .
