Makes a good chicken salad sandwich as well as a delicious chicken pasta salad and doesn't break the bank! Especially appreciate that it's packed in water! My go to - a good consistent product!

To me, this is a staple pantry item. It's one of those items that you can open, drain, and toss in a casserole, or chicken and dumplings for a quick meal. The taste is pretty basic so you can add poultry seasoning and any other spices you want, to kick it up to make a great dish. The texture is shredded chicken, much like pulled pork. So, it's really simple to make chicken enchiladas or really anything. With it being pre-cooked, the possibilities are endless. The price is really great, and the shelf life is excellent. If you're a busy mom needing quick weeknight meals, this should be in your pantry as well. Chicken is healthier than a lot of other choices, recipes are endless for quick casseroles like chicken taco casseroles, chicken enchiladas, chicken pot pie, etc. I highly recommend this brand.

This is what pouch/canned chicken should be. I have been using Sweet Sue for several years for everything from sandwiches, soups, pasta dishes to pizza. It is fresh tasting, moist and chunky. Great cold or hot and the perfect amount for one or two people. I made a very poor decision several weeks ago and purchased StarKist pouch chicken and when I opened the pouch, out slid a mat of flattened shredded chicken. Suitable for a chicken salad sandwich but not much else. When I open a Sweet Sue pouch I get a mound of chicken chunks as if just cut from a breast suitable for any type meal. And the taste is so much cleaner, fresher, sweeter. I will never buy anything else but Sweet Sue! I like the pouches as they are lighter weight, take up less space and are great for a prepper pantry as they store as long as cans.

The chicken (meat) is good but can is 50% liquidI’m not sure about the meaning of 5oz of chicken?

It's a nice size and delicious:) I happened to not be feeling well after this was delivered, and decided chicken sounded good for dinner. It was very good and filling. Nice texture and broth.

This is not a premium canned chicken product, but it's also not the worst I've seen. Doesn't smell all that great, tastes fine when in something with plenty of its own flavor. However, in 2025 prices, this brand is in no way worth the same price as premium brands. Yet sometimes they charge that much. Shop around.

I really enjoy the convenient of this packaging. Can just open and eat straight from the foil packaging, and the chicken is really tasty with very little fat or any chewy pieces. I've tried the canned version too, but I normally have to save half of the can in the fridge as it's bigger and it has more water in it and more tedious to handle. I will purchase these pouches from now on.Taste: overall taste is very pleasing to me. It might taste a little salty to some, but for me, I enjoy it straight from the pouch. I also have a condition that requires high salt diet, so I'm used to taste of salt. Be sure to check sodium on the back of pouch if that is something you need to watch as it does contain decent amount. The pouch does contain some water too, but not overly too much. Again can just eat straight from pouch with spoon then throw away when done.
