Absolutely a great head unit!! I can’t say enough about how much I love this thing. I installed it in my 2016 Sierra, and with a little bit of work and modification was able to get it almost totally flush mounted. The screen is very clear and easy to navigate, has a dedicated subwoofer and speaker pre-outs, has a connection for your factory backup camera and the ability to add up to 4 cameras total. Anyone that has a 2014-2018 Silverado/Sierra knows that the factory radio leaves a lot to be desired and an 8” screen is the biggest available from GM. This solves that issue with the 11” screen that’s higher definition. It’s SiriusXM compatible, wireless and/or wired Apple CarPlay compatible, Android Auto compatible…basically everything you would want or need is there. I would recommend getting the Maestro RR to add to it in order to keep your oem functions though. Highly recommend this unit!! You won’t be disappointed!!

This head unit is a supreme upgrade to any system. I was able to remove my signal processor and the quality went way up. Full of features has everything a modern head unit should have and the screen is amazing.

This is a great unit, hard to find a great installer but very very good head unit! Also this seller is the best, they have gone above and beyond with any of my request!

The media could not be loaded. Love the display and look of it installed.Issues I have are with software and the actual design of the install hardware on the head unit.While it’s awesome the unit can tilt, the fit on the unit is not snug and there’s no way to tighten it. What this means is you are left with slop on it and it tends to creak and crook as you drive (which is delightful on a unit that cost $1200). This probably could be fixed with having threads on the display where the 4 lower screws go in, but instead those 4 screws more or less keep the unit in place laterally from sliding out.Additionally, because the software is designed to be safe and away from legal troubles, the settings feature is disabled if it thinks you are driving (not sure how it gets that information). The issue I have is it’s wired on my older truck (2000 Toyota Landcruiser) and it will not let me access settings. This is a huge issue for me because the settings I want to access are for the touch sound to be disabled. Right now everything I touch one of the physical buttons on the bottom of the display, It’s like volume 11 and blows out my ear drums. If only I could disable that…Would I recommend this unit…probably not until it comes down in price. $1200 for the display to make noise and software that’s a pain in the butt seems a little ridiculous.I gave up on my customer service because there is no help line or phone number to call if you’re Joe Smoe (just authorized Alpine dealers).

Almost returned this, thinking it was defective because it would turn on then turn off after a few seconds. Did some research and found out that you have to put a little plastic piece where the screen connects. It does state in the manual to install this but doesn't say it won't work without it. Turns out there is a small switch that the tabs of the plastic piece activate, enabling the unit to stay on. When it does come on.... Man the sound is amazing and had to turn down my amps. There are a lot of settings, and for the average consumer may be a little overwhelming , but if an audiophile geek you would appreciate it. BTW you will have to buy a separate unit to access Sirus XM. Which at the price should be included.
