We suggest you buy the next size up. The leather is pliable enough that you will be able to squeeze the larger strap between the lugs of your watch. Going a size down also works, it may leave a small gap between the strap and the lug of the watch. And you should use your original spring bars. Thanks

Q: Will you replace posts that came with 20 mm strap that are too long for the 20 mm opening on watch? My old posts are too thick for the strap openings.

If they're too long--they might have included the wrong size for your watch. I'd try something that is more 18mm. With the replacement watch band that I recently purchased, the posts that came with the band worked okay and seemed the right fit. The following week, part of the watch band came loose. It was the part that was at the top of the watch. I got it back together, and then I used my brother's vice and carefully compressed-so that I wouldn't break it- the part were the pins went in. So far it seems to be holding

Nice watch band

This is a nice band. Purchased as replacement on my dad's 1965 Seiko. Soft leather, easy to install. Comes with pins and tool for installation. Fits my wrist on last hole. Because it overlaps so much, the underside of the band is visible. It's not an issue, but I wish the underside was also black. Would definitely recommend for quality, appearance and ease of installation.

Didn't last

Great look, great feel, easy to install, but after 7 months both retaining bands are broken. Seems to happen a lot with leather bands. I'm going to try out a nylon one that hopefully lasts longer than leather, looks better than the silicone/PU, and doesn't pinch like metal clasps. We'll see!
