What are the ingredients? Why are they not listed???

I think you're question was on the Fragrance free version-> Ingredients: Sodium Cocoate,Water, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Gluconate. Great soap. Don't know why they're not listed on Amazon. Please make it clear how many bars of soap. Does "Pack of 6 (3 per pack)" mean 6 bars, or 6 packs of 3 (i.e. 18) bars?

If I remember right it is 6 bars.

Has anyone tried this in making their own laundry detergent? If so, does it work well with cold water washes and is it safe for the septic?

I bought it to make my own laundry detergent also! I did that and haven't had any troubles - we use cold or cool water to wash. I can't certify it is safe for the septic, but I assume so - coconut oil is natural.....

My bars list sodium cocoate, water, glycerin, sodium chloride, sodium gluconate. In the time I have been buying this soap, I saw that the ingredient names had changed, so I called and talked with Customer Service. I was told that both the old and new listed ingredients are actually the same thing. A Consultant Kirk's brought in to advise them updated the ingredient names. Before purchasing, I would suggest contacting Customer Service and asking them directly just to confirm what my understanding is. Excellent bar soap at a fair price.

I love this soap! It leaves a clean, refreshing scent, but is frarance free. I've been using this for many years, & do recommend it. I have many allergies to many things, but this soap is okay for me, & I'm very thankful for the company making a quality bar soap at an affordable price.

Don’t hesitate, just buy it!

Wow! When I say this soap is by far the best clean using soap I have EVER purchased or used, I’m not kidding! Hands down the best at cleaning and leaving your skin fresh and still moist. The foaminess is a plus for sure! I love, love, love it! Very suitable for sensitive skin! There is no scent to it. Which is nice best it’s the perfect base of you enjoy layering scents. Gently enough for babies

My favorite soap that I have been using for years. It leaves my skin skin smooth with no additional additives and never dries it out. This is also great for babies. You can even wash your hair with this. No matter where I travel it is with me. I can no longer find in my local stores so I am happy to order from Amazon.

Seller sent the WRONG product!

I absolutely LOVE this brand of soap! It is hypoallergenic and old-school high quality. When I first began using it, there was only one variety - the original. They have expanded their product line since then. However, I prefer the original bar.I ordered the original bar but I received the "Original Fresh Scent." That is not what I wanted. The packaging is clearly different. It was packed by hand. The order consisted of the one item - my soap. And they got it wrong. It's not worth my time to send it back. I'm NOT going to use it. Not sure if I will use this seller again.UPDATE:The seller contacted me and pointed out that the "Original Fresh Scent" is the new company designation of their original scent. I used to purchase this product by the case, so I hadn't purchased it since the packaging change. My apology to the seller for my harsh, knee-jerk reaction to my order. I should have done some homework before posting...

What is 'Clean'.

If 'squeaky clean' is ok for you, then here you go. Fragrance Free if you please. Even works well in the kitchen for really cutting the grease when the dishwashing soap wants to play, this 'works' and gets the job done now.Yes, it will dry out your skin - especially on the face if you don't rinse right away.But when 'clean' is the objective, this works.When stinkum and soft velvety skin is the object, then, no.

The original

I am African-American and I use the castile bar soap to wash my hair. My hair was much more easily to comb out and extremely moisturized after using the Castile bar soap. It's just like I remembered as a child, as soon as it hits your wet hair it suds up wonderfully, it is a nice clean wash and it has a pleasant smell. The bars used to be a lot larger but I'm not complaining.
