Efficient & effective
I used my Millbank bag for the first time at the weekend. I followed the instructions first, by wetting and rubbing the bag throughly. I then filtered water from a chalk stream. It was beautifully clear water anyway, but after filtering it the bag did contain some slime/alge and other detritus. The water was boiled for purification and tasted clean. The tea I made was better than my home tap water. The bag was dried by attaching it to the outside of my rucksack. Once home, I turned it inside out and brushed it and then pegged it on my washing line to be sanitized by the sunshine. Top quality, small, light, useful. Very good value.

Great sturdy piece of kit.
As soon as this product arrived I knew it was quality. Good materials, quality manufacturing etc etc.At first I was worried its 'tacticle' style would not fit in with the look of my more traditional kit. But I must say it looks very smart and feels like ut belongs in my pack.Tested it yesterday and worked a treat using the easy to follow instructions. Tested in a pretty brown river the water came out clear. After boiling I drank it and it was fine, no silt just good fresh water.Very pleased with this product as well as a few other bits I have bought from Forest Fundamentals over the years!

Classic way to filter water
A trusted way to filter large impurities from water. Filtered water still needs water purification tablets.

Excellent 'FIRST STAGE' outdoor water filtration product.
Great product used for initial stage of cleaning up water colected from a flowing stream or non domestic source.Design based on military issue.Really well made, suspect it will last a lifetime. My primary use is to stop the Sawyer Squeeze water filter filments getting blocked so quickly by microscopic dirt particles.Used together they can provide confidence but also suggest to carry a few water purification tabs or take collected water to a rolling boil.I learnt the hard back in the 70's never to trust any outdoor water source.
