A decent mini fridge - not for perfectionists or long term freezer use
So far, this Black and Decker mini fridge has been rock solid. I’ll share some thoughts on the unboxing, some gotchas, and hopefully a thing or two to help you make an informed decision on this fridge. For me it arrived well packaged: instructions were clear on removing the packing tape, which as others have mentioned is pretty much everywhere. The glass is adjustable and sturdy enough, but not super thick. The instructions state you’re supposed to set it on level 7 for fifteen to twenty minutes after you unbox, and there are some peculiar things to note reading the manual. One I found a typo in it because I was a proofreader in a past life. The bottoms are easily adjustable so the unit sits flush on the floor. I was surprised at how quiet it is. After filling it up with stuff, it seems to keep items cold enough. I set it back to level 4.If you tilt or put it on it’s side, you’re supposed to wait 24 hours before plugging it in. Similarly, if you want to reboot the fridge, that is best done over a few minute period, which is weird because as far as I know this thing doesn’t run FridgeOS.The design is somewhat weird internally with how stuff is connected: like it slightly differs from the manual in ways you don’t really notice unless you look at it head on. At the very top, It does not appear to be actually level. Likewise the back bottom left side of the unit has a little divot in the plastic. You probably won’t notice unless you look right at it but it’s a little odd. The freezer has a note in the manual that you should NOT freeze items more than 5 days or so, which surprised me. Maybe the freezer compartment doesn’t really get as cold as one would think.Overall I like this thing: it’s compact, looks nice (though isn’t actual steel on the outside) and stays cold (even to the outside). The front is magnetic, so feel free to attach whatever flair you desire to it. I was able to slide two full gallon jugs of milk after reconfiguring the shelves, so there’s a decent amount of space in there. So far so good.

GREAT small freezer that really does its job!!
I needed an extra small freezer for ice cubes and 1-2 other small things and did not have room in my main freezer. This little freezer keeps my items, which are tightly packed at -16 to -22 all the time, and it is not even set to the coldest setting! It is very quiet (like no noise), and only needs easy defrosting (I use an ice scraper and a small snow brush, and it takes maybe 10 minutes) every two weeks. It's energy-saving, and the size allows you to put it almost anywhere. I have it actually in the end of my large kitchen island.I don't have to have the island looking totally flat like some people might want, and it takes up such a small place, it's easy to reach and makes a very small footprint. Seriously, this is one great little freezer, and if you have a place where it is more "hidden" and still gets a bit of air circulation, especially in the back, it would be perfect. I am very happy with it, and through Amazon, I bought an extended 3-year warranty, which was not much.

Works well, sleek looking, quiet, small dent noted upon arrival
So far I like this unit. My older Sanyo fridge’s door gasket was really worn and the freezer compartment would ice-up in two weeks. It was 10 years old (or older) so I wanted something around $200 that would optimize the space o have for a large mini-fridge, be quiet-ish, and store some cans, juices and food. I use it in our man cave/second living room which now doubles as my home office. I like having space for seltzers and the kids juices as well as some food and snacks. This suits my needs very well. It’s quieter than my old fridge and I went with the gray/silver color, which looks like stainless steel. Magnets are able to work on the front as well, which is nice. The space inside is perfect and well used. I don’t love the glass shelves. They look nice enough and are easy to clean but I would’ve preferred thicker plastic-like clear shelves.Received-status:Upon receipt there was a fairly small dent in the top, back right of the fridge (shown in one of the photos with the red circle). Luckily nothing in the front where you would see it, mainly because this slides under a counter space. I was hesitant to buy any fridges listed on Amazon because they ALL seemed to have that complaint. Also there were tiny dings in the back corners of the removable glass shelves (shown in a picture, not circled in red). Nothing worth sending it back over, but still slightly annoying. The shelves did have styrofoam protectors on the left and right edges for shipment, but not at the rear - likely a cause of the dings/chips to the glass shelves.Overall the fridge is working great and got cool within 20 minutes. It was outside for a few hours and it was 68 degrees F most of the afternoon, so I was impressed it got cool so quickly.I would purchase it again, for sure. Just assume you’re likely to have some sort of dent from shipment and maybe a ding to the glass shelves.4.5 out of 5 stars (only due to the dents and dings)

Nice little fridge, but had some scratches on it.
Has some scratches on the top and sides of the fridge but seems to run well. Got cold pretty quickly and seems to be quiet. Not sure where the drip tray goes but we will figure that out. This should work well for our son at school.
