Finally, an expansion for attackers
The Cybertooth monster pack is a great expansion, and I'm very glad to have it. The berserk mechanic makes it the final "necessary" expansion I feel I need.Without it, it can feel hard at times to deal more damage than people heal. This doesn't make it easy to deal a lot of damage, as you need 4 attack in one turn to use the berserk mechanic, but just having that as an option opens things up a lot. While "Wicked" is my fav and the most important expansion to get imo, "Power Up" is an amazing expansion (and most people's favorite) as it actually makes the characters unique. I highly recommend it, but once you have it, I highly recommend this expansion. "Power Up" really emphasizes an issue with KoT that I think the Cybertooth pack fixes. "Power Up" adds rewards for healing, so while you're trying to wear other monsters health down with no reward, they're gaining bonuses for just undoing what you spent your turn doing. Playing to kill can feel in vain sometimes without this expansion, and while this expansion doesn't neutralize the luck required, it at least offers a reward for that playstyle.

Nice addition to base game
Was looking for something to help spice up our King of Tokyo games and this has been a really nice first addition. So easy to integrate into the game.Had played it once on BGA before and liked it there, so it wasn't a blind purchase. Adds a little bit of extra strategy with going for a set of four and the cultist tiles give you more flexibility for either healing/pushing your luck with a reroll/buying power cards. Haven't actually used the character specific power up cards yet, but looking forward to trying those as well for this particular monster

More King of Tokyo? Yes, please!
If it says King of Tokyo, I must have it. This adds one new kaiju to the crop of great monsters.

Great addition to the Base Expansion game
This is an add-on to an expansion, so you need the base games with their respective expansions King of Tokyo + King of Tokyo: Power Up and/or King of New + King of New York: Power UpComponents:1 King Kong Monster Mover with stand1 King Kong Monster board8 King of Tokyo Evolution cards8 King of New York Evolution cards1 three part Tokyo Tower for King of Tokyo1 three part Empire State building for King of New York1 Beauty cardThe components are of the same quality as the KoT and KoNY games, which is very good. The Tokyo tower is a bit flimsy and it's easily knocked over.I don't own KoT, so I can't review the gameplay for it. I will only talk about what it adds to the KoNY experience. What does it add?The Empire State building is placed in Manhatthan, a monster can climb it, and if he reaches the top, he automatically wins the game. The way to climb it is by rolling 4 Ouch, this is not easy, and it has to be done three times (in differnt turns) without interruption from other players. For a player to win, he has to be the only one climbing the tower, if another player starts climbing, the other player needs to kick him out, all of this is done with 4 Ouch rolls. Each level grants the person who controlls it a benfit at the beginning of the turn like the rewards for remaining in Manhattan. This adds a fun mechanic, but if the group is concentrated on punching eachother senseless, then this mechanic gets overlooked, and since a 4 ouch roll is usually bad for the player, most players avoid it. Though it goes very well with the thematic of having the army attack the monster that is climbing the building.King Kong's evolution cards help him roll to withstand Military attacks while climbing the tower, so it is mechanic built for this monster, and it's harder for other monsters to use it.The Beauty card goes very well thematically with King Kong, it is given to King Kong with one of his evolution cards, if King Kong has it, he is happy and gets an extra die for his rolls. If he is punched by another player, that player takes the Beauty card awy, King Kong gets angry, loses his extra die and in his rage he only attacks the monster that took the Beauty away from him, once he is able to punch that other monster, he gets the beauty back and is happy again.I really like the mechanic that is added by this card, it goes very good thematically and it adds a certain caution to other players. If you like the evolution cards from the base expansion, you will like this ones.Overall, it's a good expansion to have. If you are between this and Cthulhu Monster Pack and can only choose one, I would go for Cthulhu. The addition that this provides for all players (the Empire State building) can be used even if King Kong is not in play, or it can be ignored even if King Kong is in play, it's up to the group, but since it's a tough way to win, it doesn't hurt to have it in play, most players will KO before reaching the top, so it will often be ignored. While the building tiles in Cthulhu provide a better experience for all players. The Beauty card is an excellent addition thematically and in game play, though it's one sided towards King Kong, though this is the point of evolution cards, to provide advantages to each monster.King Kong is fun to play, I believe it's a must have for lovers of this game.

A must have addition for fans of the game
We have owned and played hundreds of hobby games over the past three years. We owned King of Tokyo at one point but for some strange reason it iddn't ring with us; so I sold it. Then after seeing video review after video review on Youtube declaring this in their top 10 of this or that category, I had to try this again....and we loved it.Thus the search to enhnace King of Tokyo for us and getting our hands on this expansion.+ King Kong plus standHe's big. He's one of the king of monsters, so he is a must have.--- This "mini-expansion" adds a building for either King of Tokyo or for King of New York, which gives one additional way to win.It doesn't feel like much of an expansion and we find we almost never play with it, but maybe we should give it another chance.+ Evolution cards!!I really like Kong's evolution cards and he has a very different feel from the other monsters. Nice!OVERALL:If you like either the King of Tokyo or New York, then just go out and get this. Having Kong in the mix is worth it even if you do or do not use the additional win factor.
