Great product but needed BIOS flash
Plugged in everything but none of the MoBo LEDs turned on. The BIOS flash button lit up when pressed. Had to flash the BIOS by downloading the latest file from MSI. Keep in mind that both CPU and RAM should be removed and only ATX and CPU power 1 cable must be attached to flash the BIOS. Once flashed the MoBo turned on and EZ debuf LEDs lit up.

Perfect solution for the "developer-by-day-and-gamer-by-night" kind.
Went with this as my mobo for a new build. mSI and ASUS were my top mobo choices because of their reputed unparalleled hardware and bios software. This thing is an absolute beast and a wonder. Minimalistic tech-themed design layout looks really neat. For me, cooling is prime and the extended heat sink and the shield frozr had me sold instantly. Installation was fairly easy, you need to read the manual if you have a lot of rgb headers and such.2 months into the setup, used extensively (more than 10 hrs a day) and have faced no issue. 11/10 would reccomend.

A good product that does its job really well
I am not a early tech adopter, but as my old motherboard died I had no option but to get another one and these z690s were readily available along with the processors. So I went ahead with the DDR4 version so that I could reuse whatever I could from my old system. DDR5 is still too early and costly to justify the purchase when I am not really always that bound by RAM, just as 90% of the average to high end consumers out there.Coming to the product, Inside the package you will find your motherboard with a couple of SATA cables. They also give a few screws ( but not motherboard mounting screws ), they are probably for nvme ssd i think? But not sure what they are for. I used my old motherboard's mounting screws to mount this one.Luckily I was able to fit my H100i V2 on this motherboard even though its not technically supported. IHS height is said to be a little low for LGA1700, but i don't get any thermal issues with my "on-paper" unsupported mounting. Its a decent motherboard with good looking UEFI and decent configuration options. Though this is not top of the line overclocking board, but it does support those K series processors and overclocking them. I personally have not tried. Its got good amount of USB ports in the back ( 7 if i counted correctly ) allowing good number of things to be able to get connected. The best part is the bios flash option that doesn't require you to load a processor, though I don't think that would be required yet as the motherboard already comes loaded with a bios that supports 12th gen processors, though not 12900KS ( but I don't think you would be going with this motherboard if you are getting that processor ).Love the HDMI/DisplayPort option for outputting iGPU's display. Glad to see VGA/DVI getting removed. Though it should support high refresh rates, I don't have a monitor supporting that so I haven't tried. It it works till 75 Hz though. This motherboard has 6 SATA ports, 4 on the right side of motherboard and 2 facing upwards from the bottom. I am not very happy with placement of these 2 bottom SATA ports, would have liked them to be kept on side too ( my previous one was Z170A gaming M5 and that had the same sata port count but on the sides ). But they get the job done, albeit makes the cable management not so clean as most modern Cabinets come with a PSU shroud that doesn't allow you to put the cable down instantly or unless you really fold it sharply which is not recommended for SATA cables. The motherboard comes with EZ-Debug LEDs from MSI that allows you to debug whats wrong when the motherboard doesn't boot in a simpler fashion. So props on that, but my old Z170A gaming M5 had a 7-segment display that used to display CPU temperature in real-time along with debug codes on start. I really miss that feature on this motherboard.Motherboard also supports both PWM and DC on the fan connectors which can be changed to whichever one you would want from Bios. It also has an Integrated Pump connector on it.I also don't think a 8+8 pin cpu connector on this motherboard was needed. A single 8 pin would fit almost every scenario this motherboard would be used in.And one thing I would have really wanted from MSI to add into their mid-range motherboards which use high end chipsets is the integrated IO shield. These separate shields don't cut it, integrated ones look nice aesthetically and reduce the pain to install the stuff a lot.Motherboard battery also gets covered by a GPU if you install it and if ever comes a time when you would want to replace it, you will have to take some pain to remove GPU first. This Naturally comes with support for windows 11 so if you are someone looking forward for that, you will be set.I would highly recommend the DDR4 version unless you have got an absurd amount of money to buy the RAM. DDR4 is still plenty fast. Overall its a pretty good motherboard and mid range in the Z690 category.

Amazing value for its price!
I had been an Asus fan before starting my journey with MSI motherboards. Of late, I realized Asus started skimping on quality for their budget range and that created a spot for MSI to fill-in. This is my second board with MSI and they are yet to disappoint me.Coming to this particular model, it's a notch above other similarly-priced options in many ways:- Excellent VRM design- 4 M.2 NVMe slots- BIOS Flash button(allows easy BIOS-flash without the CPU)- 6-layer PCB design- Uses 6 motherboard screws(most other motherboards use 4 only)- M.2 clips for quick removal of SSDs- Simple BIOS navigation(Asus has the most confusing BIOS menu)- Ample number of Rear USB A ports(total 7) and a USB-C port- 6 SATA ports- WiFi6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity- SSD Heat sinkThe not-so-good:- No included stickers(my MSI B660-M WiFi D4 came with one).- Comes with only one SSD heat-sink. Should come with atleast one more SSD heat-sink.Conclusion: It's a real VFM-product for someone willing to overclock their 12th and 13th Gen Intel CPUs. Asus Z690-P WiFi D4 comes close but falls short in terms of its price and features. There are a number of sources with pictures about the product, the best being MSI portal itself, so not posting the same :)

Best value Z690 motherboard
This is a fantastic motherboard for the price. It has plenty of VRM for overclocking. The WiFi included makes it convenient to use. The only thing lacking is digital audio output. Otherwise, can't ask for more.

Enough Space for Overclocking
I bought this from a local seller, It is running pretty cool even after overclocking. It's DDR4 which is pretty good. Auto overclocking is god sent.

need to flash bios for 13th gen CPU rest all good.
I assembled and then realised the CPU was not being detected. then flashed bios and after that it started working. new batch of these mb I have heard do not require flashing bios
