Excellent product. We have several ipad pro 12 9 model A1652 at work bought from different suppliers. These units have a poorly designed lightning charge port and several of them (10%), had malfunction in our case. Hence, we were not able to charge the ipads! repairing them was quite expensive. However, this product saved us and the ipads are charging quite well. You save a lot of money in those cases with damaged ipad port. The charging process is somehow slower but it does work. If the ipad enters into sleep mode it does not work well, but those are minor issues comparing the utility it has when you have a damaged lightning port that does not allow you to use the ipad at all. The cheapest solution for that trouble that it is sort of common with the ipad pro 12 9.

Best kept secret that this will actually charge your iPad slowly but changes it will. It’s tough and hold the iPad well.

The stand is very sturdy, and it has a base that has a little bit of adhesive (not too sticky) but provides very solid contact between the stand and the surface. I like this feature as it doesn't shift/move around. The connection between the iPad and the stand for charging is weak (I wish it had a more of a magnetic functionality). The iPad sometimes doesn't register that it is connected to the charging port. I wish it was smoother, cleaner connection. At times, I have to slide the iPad around trying to get it to connect.

Update May 14, 2019: DEAD! So it lasted 6 weeks and now it’s a paperweight. DO NOT BUY!Update May 2, 2019: I've been using this every night and it's still working fine. Still a 5-star and no complaints.When wireless charging first became available for my phone, I thought, what's the big deal? What's so hard about plugging in a cable? Of course I said something similar when remote controls first became available for tv sets 50 years ago.It's great just setting my iPad on this device. The magnets grab it so that you know you have it placed correctly. And then the iPad lights up so that you know that there is an electrical connection. I use this by my bed so that when I wake up my iPad is fully charged.I see other reviewers say that this will stop charging in a month or two. Well, if it stops within a month I'll send it back to Amazon. If it stops after that I'll be back here giving it a 1 star and I will update my review. If you don't hear back from me, it's because it's still working.

It started working fine then slowly started charging less and less. Would charge 90% then 84% and now it only charges about 76%. I just hope it keeps changing.

The charging port on my iPad was only working part of the time. It either got dirty or a component broke. Apple told me they could not replace it because there are no individual components. Anyway, my choices were to live with a really bad charging port and try to fiddle with it, or buy a new iPad. Then I realized I could use a charging stand for my iPad PRO. It works great and better to spend $100 for this than $1000 or more for a new iPad. The only possible down side is that you have to be somewhat precise setting the iPad into the charger. It has to be centered and it kind of "clicks in". it is all magnetic, but things have to line up correctly. I highly recommend this product.

Have Apple Gen 8 iPad, but it had the 3 magnetic points. Charging port needed replacement, but, once screen is detached it’s susceptible to moisture. Order this item and iPad charges perfectly.
