If you want an everyday pocketknife for regularly cutting open cans and tightening screws, this would not be my first pick. Not because it could not handle the task, but because that's like strapping a stallion to a plow. This is more the kind of pocketknife a grandfather would use to skin an apple or whittle on a piece of wood while sitting on his porch alongside his old hunting dog.Mine arrived in excellent condition, very sharp, and blemish-free. Its quality, craftsmanship, and visual appeal is nice enough to pass on to the next generation or gift to a man who appreciates hand-made knives.

The item was perfect

I received my first one in France over 20 years ago. I was quite fond of it until my house was robbed.

I guess the “craftsman” was having a bad day when my knife was “hand crafted”. The blade has a dull spot where it’s contacting the inside of the liner. Only buy one if you know you have to modify it to prevent damage to the blade. Better, don’t waste your $. I’m far from impressed. I’m giving 1 star because I can’t leave ZERO
