Engrossing and useful! David Bauscher's THE ORIGINAL ARAMAIC NEW TESTAMENT, IN PLAIN ENGLISH, Lulu Publishing, 2007 (3rd Edition 2009) , provides an excellent translation of the 27-book Western version of the Aramaic New Testament. Pastor Bauscher based his translation on the 1920 Edition of the Syriac New Testament published by the British and Foreign Bible Society. Pastor Bauscher makes it clear that he believes this text to be the sacred original text of the New Testament.Along with his translation are numerous concurrent comparisons by insert and footnote contrasting the key differences of the Greek versions of these 27 New Testament books. These notes serve to impressively demonstrate the primacy of Aramaic text over the Greek since the different Greek versions show variations that are clearly associated with alternative and sometimes clearly incorrect translations of the underlying Aramaic words. The fact that Jesus and his followers all spoke and wrote in Aramaic suggests that their early writings were in Aramaic rather than in a foreign language that the Jews disdained and probably did not know. Bauscher proves this point page after page without distracting from the translation itself.In a few cases Bauscher decided to interpret selected phrases in a non-standard fashion. In particular, when the Gospels quote the Messiah saying the Aramaic words "Ena Na," which means "I am", Bauscher translates this to be "I AM THE LIVING GOD" based on his interpretation of the "I AM" quote from the Old Testament book of Exodus. In contrast, when a formerly blind man said: "Ena na!" in John 9:9, Bauscher translates that phrase as "I am he". Bauscher also translates the Aramaic cognate of the unpronounced name of God as "THE LORD JEHOVAH" which emphasizes the sacred reference. These are not standard interpretations, but they are clearly explained in detail by the author.Pastor Bauscher demonstrates an impressive command of Biblical Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic as well as the ancient alphabet fonts used by the Jews in the first Century. He has also written a separately published full "interlinear translation" of the text which can be used to check the meaning of every word. After finding out, that within the last few decades, it has been outted that they DISCOVERED AND PROVEN that the Gospels, Psalm, and Proverbs WAS WRITTEN IN ARAMAIC - I had to get that Bible!It Soo easy to read and I would advise to get the Bible with the notes in the back! It is so helpful as well as more proof through the text as to how it was Aramaic and not greek! Mind blowing! I love how the author took the time to even photocopy and note the differentiations to prove and to show evidence of how it was either mistranslated or that Aramaic had to be the original!I have shown this Bible off I have told everyone I know about it I have even bought it for people that I love and care about to help understand the gospels! You will not believe how clearly it speaks! There is no doubt that God of heaven (Yahweh) came down to earth in the flesh as Jesus Christ (Yehshua The Messiah) 🥰🙌It is so well worth the money that it will become your prized possession! And it's not the money that's the value it is the word itself and how easily it speaks to your heart and your spirit! It's LIFE!!!!! 🙌💙

We've purchased multiple copies for loved ones! This author does due diligence to the original New Testament Aramaic translation without the Greek middle man. There is also in depth explanation of how the Greek translation loses much of the true meaning of the Word. This is a must have for anyone wishing to truly understand the New Testament.

If you're looking for a good Aramaic to English Bible translation, this translation has some interesting features. The author uses "Jehovah," but "Yehovah" is actually more accurate because "J" doesn’t sound like "Y" in English anymore. In Old English, "J" was pronounced like "Y," but that changed around the 17th century.Using "Yeshua" for Jesus adds a nice touch of authenticity and respect. The plethora of notes in the book offer helpful insights, even if I don’t agree with all of them. There are some biases from the author, but overall, it’s a solid translation.

Highly recommend the book is a good read. I compare it to the original scrolls. It’s probably around 95% accurate.

I enjoy the overall readability of the text. I also enjoy the use of Aramaic names such as Yeshua, and Yochann. The notes in the back are a good basis for a starting point to delve into further studies as well.
