Confortable but gets loose
I bought this for my English Foxhound dog. He loves it and we also do love it… the clicks are secure and the material is very strong and soft with the extra padding … the only thing why I don’t give 5 stars is because when he eventually pulls because is a big dog he’s power makes it a little bit loose every 5-10 walks I have to double check and adjust it tight again on the chest side … but other than that is absolutely useful… the extra handle on top gives you more control the front clip is very good for training …Good product love the Velcro tags

Great quality, glad I ordered!
Out of all of the online choices I went with this because of the extended pads under the straps. This is a size large, definitely measure the neck & chest as explained, I first ordered a medium but had to return & repurchase the large and the return was super easy! I am very happy with the large as it offers room if Gunner grows again. Love the quality of the rings, straps, clips and stitching. I like how it has a spot for ID cards with name info & phone number Incase he ever gets loose. Definitely recommend this purchase if you are on the fence about the options!

Easily put on. So much easier to walk without pulling on his neck!

Good product
My dog is rough in everything. But this has held up really well. Ordering him a new one just because his original one has faded.

It needs a third buckle/snap
This is going to sound like a positive review, but read to the end before purchasing. Here are the things that are positive about this harness. 1) This harness is super strong. I've gone through several harnesses having a seven month German Shepard/Husky mix who weighs around seventy pounds. The Auroth is the best harness so far and I'd give it five plus stars if it had a third buckle/snap. This harness gives me the control I need to walk my dog when I'm not training him. I use a choke collar to train my dog, but for a casual walk or when he is seat belted in my car, I use this harness. An added bonus, this harness helps to calm down my pup, kind of like swaddling a baby. The harness wraps around his back and chest and I think that makes him feel more secure. 2) This harness is well made. I'm seriously impressed with the stitching and finished edges of this product. The buckles/snaps are thick, strong plastic and look like they will last the life of my dog. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the quality of the material or the making of this harness, except that a third buckle/snap needs to be added to the neck section of this harness. I will explain why at the end of this review. 3) This harness fits perfectly. I purchased a size I knew my dog would grow into and used the chart to help guide my selection. My pup is at that stage that every time I let him outside, he comes back in the house a bigger dog. The elastic straps around the chest help accommodate this growth. 4) I loved the tactical design of this harness. The back of the harness has several options for strapping on items such as a water bottle or dog treats. Unfortunately there is one very important change that must be made to this harness. This harness needs an additional buckle/snap around the neck. This is important for two reasons. First, it is much easier with a young dog that is not used to wearing a harness to have the harness wrap around his or her neck and chest then snap closed. With just chest snaps, the dog has to learn to put his or her head through the neck hole in order to get this on. Sure, with time and patience, my dog was able to do this with little resistance. But it takes time. But there is a real safety issue for adding this third buckle/snap. There was one time when my dog became frightened and tried to pull out of the harness by backing his head and front legs out of the neck hole. He managed to get his leg stuck and there was pressure being placed on his neck and arm pit. Because this happened while we were driving we didn't notice the misalignment of the harness until we tried to get him out of the car. It took nearly a half an hour to figure out how to loosen the straps enough to remove the harness without causing him more pain and distress. We considered cutting the straps he was that tightly stuck. Had there been a third buckle/snap around the neck, like many other harnesses, we could had exited him from this painful position quickly. Other reviewers commented on the lack of this third buckle/snap too. Originally I wasn't that concerned, but after dealing with a frightened dog and a stuck leg, I can not recommend this harness and I would not purchase another.
