Unfortunately the screws supplied were not as strong as the wooden garden gate as the heads sheared off, had to reposition bolt with screws I had already got

I'm not the most diy savvy person but figured I'd give adding a lock to my bathroom a go. Bolt, lock and screws provided, as long as you have a tiny drill and screwdriver, it's very simple to install (I don't have a drill but my door is old and soft so was easy to just push in enough to hold while I screwed it in)Once installed I attempted to lock it which took a lot more effort than expected but eventually got it in. The concern rose when I then had to spend 10 minutes jiggling it to try and wriggle the door open again.I'm guessing the bolt is slightly too wide for the hole (no idea of technical term for parts) hopefully it'll wear down a bit over time.Overall, it's great if you want a door or gate locked and don't mind if it won't unlock. But if you wish to use it frequently and don't have time to risk getting stuck in a room, I'd maybe suggest getting 2 of these in different sizes and using the larger lock hole and the smaller sized bolt. I'll be attempting this theory if my bolt doesn't wear down.
