From our home in Norway, Helly Hansen has been making professional grade gear to help people stay and feel alive for more than 140 years. It all started in 1877 when sea captain Helly Juell Hansen found a better way to stay protected from the harsh Norwegian elements. Soon thereafter, Captain Hansen and his wife Margrethe launched a business producing waterproof oilskin jackets, trousers, sou’westers and tarpaulins made from coarse linen soaked in linseed oil – and the legend was born!

Great fit
This was great quality and a great fit. I got the large which I am 6 ft 180 lbs and it still had room. It does not press up against my skin tight and the waist band stays really well. Helly Hansen makes the best clothing.

Very Warm
Purchased these for cycling in the winter and they are really warm on those cold days. I wear cycling padded tights under and an outer layer or shorts on top and they are very versatile with different types of weather. Going aero is not a priority with the type of riding I do, slower and staying warm is my priority in the winter.

They're okay
Okay so I'm from Massachusetts. Construction worker for 15 years now. These are decent. But they're not even close to the carhartt yukon extreme cold base layers I bought 10 yrs ago. And the fact there's no fly access for mens pants is crazy to me. As far as warmth. I'm in 25 degrees today and I feel the difference from my carhartts so I'm sure in sub zero I'm gonna miss my old pants.
